What do you LOVE about New Horizons?

-Graphics on how hd and detailed are, especially playing on monitor and tv.
-Relocation (To be honest I admit using the save editor because I was unhappy with the location of some villagers homes in acnl so i moved it.)
-Placing objects outdoors
-More color options on clothing and furniture
-Transparent patterns
-Villagers finally wearing sleeves, dresses, hats and accesories
-More inventory space
-Tool ring
And much more.

- HD graphics for sure. Especially when playing in TV mode, it's so impressive.
- Villagers ask you before they leave, so no heartbreak when one of your dreamies moves out.
- More clothing options, and more customisation options in general.
- 40 slots for inventory.
- The ability to terraform is a cool idea, though I personally don't use it creatively lol.

I just do okay?

Read the question wrong, oof.

I love how it's the most in-depth in terms of building/customizing your life. We went from moving to a small forest village with minimal features to literally flying to a desert island and designing every aspect of your town life right down to choosing building placement.

Of course, I'll always be one of the first to point out the watering down of things like furniture sets and some things that can be considered flaws or nitpicks (depending on who you ask) like the size of the island not really meshing with the idea behind New Horizons, but as I've said before, I'd be lying if I said it was a bad game.

It's definitely a worthwhile game amidst all it can do to improve (some of which probably can't be done post-launch like making the island bigger), and it still has that traditional Animal Crossing charm that keeps you playing and coming back for more. So overall, I like how this game showcases how far the series has progressed since it's very first launch.

Also I LOVE how the island, especially how the beach looks around sunset. Feels like I'm watching a real-life sunset on a real-life beach minus the risk of eye damage from look at the sun lol.

i've seen a lot of people already talk about the visual details that i love, so i'll offer up that i love the attention to the sounds in this game. different sounds depending on which type of floor/path you're walking on, which can also change depending on your shoes! (if you're wearing a wooden sandal, it's so satisfying.) the fact that i can hear the rain against my umbrella. splashing when i walk in the rain. the wind!

i also love how the textures change when it rains. a wet straw/thatch roof, or it even looks like my clothing gets soaked.

also when someone flies in (or you fly to their island), how it leaves the streaks from the plane in the sky.

i also like how the easy access to reactions has created this kind of... convention for interacting in the game? even if i'm visiting someone's island with strangers there, we all wave at each other since it was one of the defaults everyone gets. hearing that little chime always makes me smile.

Crafting
It's so much fun! I admit that I dismissed it as being too much like Minecraft at first, but after playing the game I realize I really enjoy it because it's exciting to gather materials to craft that super cool item you just got a recipe for

Villager interactions
I feel like all the interactions with the villagers are adorable and the dialogue is so wholesome (I feel like everybody got a huge upgrade; I'm appreciating all my smugs, snooties, and peppies right now. Their dialogue is so cute and fun.)

Villagers wear accessories
Seeing my villagers wearing cute little hats and glasses is just so charming to me and makes the game that much more adorable

Singing villagers
Need I say more?

Money trees are more accessible
With the removal of the island from NL, I was concerned that grinding for bells would be much more difficult. But with the money trees I feel like gaining bells and paying for things I need is much easier. (I no longer have to spend ~3 hours searching for sharks and high value catches while wrecking an entire island. XD)

Closets!
I love that I can actually see the clothes I've got instead of searching through my excessive amount of clothes and accessories for the one piece I need!

Customizing the face
I like that we can change up our face and hair whenever we want. I remember constantly deleting files in older games because I no longer liked the face or quitting the game without because I once again got a hairstyle I didn't want.

I really enjoy the small details added to interior decoration. If you put a fan near a house plant and turn it on, as it swivels, the house plant will sway accordingly. Also, items that give off light inside. I love seeing the reflection of the light on walls, the floor, your character, and other furniture.

I love the amount of customisation available for our island! Terraforming is fantastic and I have so many plans for my island which I imagine will keep me intetested in the game for a long time because it's a slow process building things, paying off bridges/inclines and finding all the items I want to place outside.

New Leaf's public works didn't do it for me, their placement was really limited and I didn't like most of them anyway. I got bored of NL pretty quick and there wasn't much daily tasks to do so I'd always TT, but I'm finding there's SO much to do in NH and I barely TT anymore.
