I have New Leaf to thank for getting me back into the series, because this game brings back so many memories of my childhood when I was absolutely addicted to Wild World.
Animal Crossing isn't only a fun gaming experience, but it's something that has emotional and nostalgic value to me. My dad bought me Wild World when I was only eight years old, and this was during the time we were building our cottage. I named my town Rosseau after the town that was near my cottage, and I still have the name for my town to this day in NL as I can't bring myself to name it anything else. Every time I load up New Leaf, it reminds me of those days when I would eagerly anticipate when the cottage would be finished, and would pretend that my town was what it might look like one day. As I listen to the soundtrack of WW now, I could cry from nostalgia. While it may have been clunky with a bad framerate and a few limits, I wouldn't be playing the amazing New Leaf today, and it just brings back so many great memories.
I'm so sad that I lost the game card.
What does New Leaf (or any animal crossing game) mean to you?
