What do you look for in a town layout?

I also took the first town when I started and I love my layout. The number one thing for me is that it's easy to get around. I visit a lot of towns where it's hard to get from one spot to another because of twisting rivers, split beaches, badly placed bridges, etc.

I'll restart my second town soon, and I'll try to get map 5 1A, or map 6 2A or 2B. Plenty of room for PWPs, I think.

Or at least some of these wishes,
-no more than the Re-Tail pond
-as straight river as possible
-south facing slope with easy access to the dock
-also south facing waterfall
-plaza somewhere else than right below the train tracks, with the town hall hopefully next to it
-Re-Tail either near the dock or station

Mine is something like map 6, D5, water fall on the left, and the beach can be access by 2 ramps.

It divide the town in half, but i find the space a bit limited in building pwp. And i have 3 pond....

Didnt know i can reset and choose -.-

Recently ive been thinking of resetting my town, even though retail, town hall is on the north and plaza is just beside town hall.

Im really not too sure what is the perfect layout for me....

I am pretty sure you have the same map that I have! You are the first person I have seen who has the same map! Would you mind posting your dream code? I would love to see how you have done your town!

I'm a casual player, so it's just a normal town. I play for fun and to relax.

Correct. That's what I mean by island; surrounded by a river. But not a large mass of land either.
