What do you like to see in towns?

personally, i really like colourful paths! they really make the town a lot more interesting imo. sometimes that bugs me is bare, plain paths with no flowers or colour around it, although if its a town that has an intentionally dark theme, i can understand that. i guess i just like colourful towns better haha

Like: Diversity in species, appearances, and personalities.
Dislike: ONLY having cute villagers and no cool villagers

I like seeing time and effort put into a town. Paths are a nice touch as well as flowers and tree arrangements. I also like Themes, not just in the town but in the houses and I totally dig themed villagers too~ [I myself don't have such even in dream villagers but considering getting a second town to do so!]
I don't really dislike things but if I had to choose something I am more likely to brush off is if the village is plain, but at the same time I don't mind since ACNL really has been the first of the series where I cared about paths and having a creative town. But if I go visit a dream town I want it to be like WOW and stand out. I wanna SEE the mayor's creativity really show in their town~

Ill only list the things I really like because I really cant think of many things I truly dislike in towns :0

-Either towns whever EVERYTHING is deditated to just one theme fitting paths-flowers-PWPs-villagers-houses-season-everything or towns that are super variated and have different themed zones.
-Lots of diferent colored flowers and bushes. Trees that are well organized so they dont obstruct your view
-Items and clothes laying around in dream towns are always the best.
-Paths that are easy to navigate and give you a good look of the whole town without you having to go off-path too much so you can apreciate the whole place.

Hmm, I really love bamboo, and lots of flowers and gardens. I also like to see not so popular villagers. While I agree, Marshal, Marina, Zucker and Stitches (who I actually have) are really adorable, I think that it gets boring seeing them in every dream town online, and I like it when people don't jump on the bandwagon and have only tier 1 villagers.

I like a bunch of trees that are in formation. Man, those look really cool, I want to do that with my town, but I don't know where to start. I like paths because they help me not get lost. I don't like having to look at the map to find my way around a town.

I like towns where the owner has thought about how it would work to navigate, and laid things out with that in mind. Often I ask Luna to pick me a random town and it's just piles of trees and randomly placed PWPs like an architectural flea-market in a forest

Paths are useful but not always necessary depending on how you've laid things out, but for me there's got to be some sort of overall plan. Otherwise, to me, it doesn't feel like a town.

(And this is COMPLETELY a personal opinion but I don't like the super cute fluffy pink cupcakes-and-rainbows thing some people go for. Walking along on a path made out of candy and teddybears all I can think of is how messy that'd be after it rains LOL)

I love when they leave around clothing/items for you to play with, always a nice change from having to wander around in pajamas *u*
also I don't think I've seen many people do this, but I love when people try to decorate their villagers' houses as well!!! I've been attempting that in my town but failing with some of them oTL
I also love lots of greenery and PWPs in like... a organized manner, really shows that they tried!

There's not much I don't like, I mean even when I visit a town that's barren they're probably just starting out or something... i guess I just appreciate the more completed ones more haha;;

Likes- Lots of greenery, shrubs, bamboo, hybrids, etc.
Dislikes- Seeing the same villager clones in every single town. Marshal, Merengue, Beau, Diana, and all the other boring overused villagers are like in every single town...but I'm a hypocrite because I have Marshal

I love towns that have very well thought out PWP with trees, bushes and flowers designed around them. Like a real garden in a beautiful town, not just a PWP placed randomly somewhere.

I love town houses that are very imaginative in their use of combining sets and items.

In general I just love beautiful towns that are well planned.

Never been to other villages and mine is a work in progress (lol) But things I think are cool:

- themed villagers (wether, its cute, one gender, one specific animal, or other stuff)
- residential areas were multiple villager houses (if not all) are located in the same area
- good tree placement and variety (especially fruits!), dont care much for flowers
- has a nice nature feel too it =]
