What do you like and/or dislike about your town map?

I kind of hate that my two favourite dreamies, Julian and Stitches left me without a word. Also hate my campsite placement.

I like pretty much everything about my map. The villager house placements, the caf?, police station, and reset center placements, the shape of the river, the random placement of the town hall, Re-Tail, and the tree plaza. I would rather not have my town fruit be the pear, but other than that I love everything.

Things I love about my map:

Mostly horizontal river - it makes river fishing easy and doesn't take up a lot of space like winding rivers do.

All my main buildings - town hall, caf?, police station, and Retail all line up to make a convenient "Main Street" in the south half of town.

All my character houses line up to make a nice residential street in the north half of town.

The top left corner has just enough room for my campsite - it's a perfect secluded spot.

My beach is continuous, not broken in half like so many maps I see. It's great for ocean fishing and I still have a little private beach you can only reach by swimming to it.

I don't care about train station/town hall colors. I remodeled both to fairy tale so long ago I don't even remember the original colors! Brown maybe???

There are only two ponds, one right behind my mayor's house, which is cool (lake front property!!) and one to the right of retail. Ponds take up too much space so I wouldn't want more than two.

There are no rocks in the way of any of my paths. I was so lucky about this and my paths are set up so that my town is so easy to navigate.

Honestly, I've seen literally thousands of maps on here and I've never seen a town layout I like more than mine.

i like my map all in all except that unlike my old town you cant run straight down from the train station/main street right past retail down through the plaza and to the dock without getting stopped once ;(

I'm a pretty big fan of my map, but a few rocks and permanent dirt patches irk me >>

Other than how I decorated my town:

I did like how south of the river, no animal ever lived there when I started my town. And no animal ever moved there (thanks to my plot resetting and PWP placement). I also like how cozy that part was.

I did not like that the strip with the Caf? was too narrow to put a fountain in front of it.

I don't really think there's anything I dislike about my town just yet, although I'm sure when I get more into landscaping there will be endless things that bother me.

I'm not really fond of the four ponds I have. I managed to work around them, but they were a pain in the ass sometimes. I also dislike the location of three of my rocks, especially when checking whether they are the money rocks of the day or not. I also managed to work around them, though. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with my layout.

I like a lot of things and hate a lot of things about it:

Hate:
Rocks in the worst places imaginable
Pond in a spot where I want a pwp
Re tail is far from the island

Like:
My beach is perfect
Rivers are where I want em
Villagers mostly move where I want them to

My town is pretty neutral to me

I think the only real thing I dislike about my map is how there's not much diversity, for example the bottom half of my map is very.. horizontal I guess? which makes placing PWPs quite predictable in my personal opinion. Like I can only place them along the path and not really anywhere else. Although i'm trying my best with it. That and the fact there's a rock not too far from my town hall so I can't do what I planned to do with some trees and bushes but it's okay, since it still looks nice in my opinion. I tend not to focus on the negatives and more on how I can improve something or make a space look better without having to delete my town.

My map is actually pretty good, the river is perfect, same with retail and plaza!
It's only the rocks. Some of them are placed horribly bad.

The placement of my pattern villager and campsite Make it impossible to line a bridge up with my paths. The paths themselves only work where they are.
