Two of the four exhibit rooms are full of gyroids. The other two I've used for storing unorderables, villager pictures and gifts from friends for example. I like to have some of the gift items in the exhibit rooms since I like seeing how they look.

Oh, some very nice ideas here!
I've only recently started a new game so I'm not that far in yet. I got the second floor in the museum last week and I started with a Gulliver's Travels themed exhibition room in which I'll place all the souvenirs I got from him. I thought it'd be a cool idea, though maybe it will end up being a bit chaotic. We'll see X)
I also thought about a game-themed room, because all that Nintendo stuff needs to go somewhere... I think I'll keep an eye on this topic too, for inspiration.
I love working on my museum rooms because they give me the freedom to do things that wouldn't go with my town theme. So far, I have 3 rooms completed and I'm planning out my fourth room.
Room 1: Mushroom Kingdom
This is my Nintendo room, but it mostly focuses on items from the Mario world.

Room 2: A Bug's Life
I really wanted to do something with all of the cute bug and leaf furniture that you can get, so this is what I came up. I really like how this room turned out. I have Wandering playing on the Cicada Stereo and it sounds so perfect.

Room 3: Currently gyroid storage, but will soon be an underwater room with furniture from the fishing tourney and Pascal, seashells, treasure chests, and broken posts and brown pots.
Room 4: Memories
All of my pictures of villagers, past and present, and NPCs. It's almost full, so I'm going to have to come up with a new layout soon.

I love these rooms! I normally see a bunch of storage-type items whenever people have posted their screenshots, but I like the idea of theming the rooms and making them nice and organized.
Currently, my exhibit rooms have nothing in them. I haven’t thought much about what I could do, but I think I’ll definitely spruce them up after seeing yours! <3
I took some screenshots of two of my exhibit rooms finally! One is dedicated to fossils and dinosaurs (and is a work in progress). The other is a sort of Indiana Jones style archaeology/anthropology room, with artifacts from different cultures as well as some items from nature like interesting seashells. Problematic as hell.

The Whittown museum, unfortunately, takes its cues from the British Museum, and refuses to return to their rightful owners the artifacts it has stolen from around the world.
