I don't really like how she looks, personally. Her colors are really pretty but her eyes look sort of evil or devious... I think it's the fact that they're so dark with no irises. But I can definitely see why she's popular - she fits a certain aesthetic extremely well.
That said, I recently did the same thing as you and adopted a villager I wasn't sure about. I don't really like the way goat villagers look, but I figured I'd give Sherb a chance since he came camping at a good time. Plus, like you, I figure I could always sell him if I ended up not liking him. Luckily, so far he's my favorite lazy villager I've had! He seems a bit calmer and like he has more dialogue than the other lazies I've had so far. So I might actually end up keeping him! Hopefully you'll end up lucking out and liking Judy, as well.
