what do you do with your flowers?

(sorry for second thread in a day, i just really want to hear what you guys do, haha)

title. i have so many flowers and my island is overflowing, i have hybrid fields covering probably half my island and store leftover flowers on the beach. i sell normal flowers but keep all hybrids and now my beaches are almost full. it sucks that you can’t store the plant itself in your storage, aaaaaa!!!!

does anyone else have this problem and if so what are you doing to fix it ;_;

My beaches used to be packed with flowers but I just sell my hybrids now to Nook’s. I keep a small section of beach to store some of the flowers still, especially the purple ones which are rarer to get. But pinks/blacks/orange/blues etc I just sell as soon as they grow. I TT sometimes so it gets too overgrown

I put down a trash can and bin them. People can be picky when you are trying to give away free flowers and it's a lot of time/effort to dig and sell.

I'm so appreciative when people give away their flowers, I always find a new way to incorporate them somewhere, so I cannot thank those people enough!

Since I absolutely dread gardening, with the flowers I do get, I usually just scatter them around my neighbourhood area. Yes, it does have that "overgrown" look, but I'm aiming for that flowery mountain design. The few times where it did rain and they start to overgrow, I just give them to others, but for the most part, I usually find a way to salvage them.

If I give away flowers, I'm clearing a whole area. I'm not going to spend time placing down the flowers the person doesn't want and hunt down the ones they do want. Im spending too much time as it is on flowers.

I just fenced off 5 of each and 10 of each for the ones I personally like so I start up a cloning farm again. Right now I'm just trying to keep the mess contained but it keeps raining!

I trash a bunch of normal flowers, but I'm considering either selling or giving away some of my extra hybrid flowers because there are just too many at this point.
All that rain I've been getting lately keeps giving me so many flowers.

I plant them to grow hybrids. Ignore them after a week of rain. Then decide to just pretend that they don't exist because they have totally taken over a large portion of my island and dealing with them seems like a lot of work.

I've repeated this process a couple of times now. Maybe not the best system, but... eh.

for a while i had a cliff that i was storing them on, but then the cliff filled up, and i had to make it bigger... and then it filled up again. i bin them now, even if they are hybrids. doing a giveaway would be too much work, as folks have said! if it was easier for people to come and pick what they wanted i would, but meh.

i have nearly every hybrid now and have them stored in an area so i always have one of each, which is my main concern. don't wanna bin my last black lily by accident!

after it rains i usually just incorporate a lap around the island into my daily to-dos so i dig up anything new that i don't want to keep. i let it get so out of hand once that it took a few hours just to bin everything i didn't want. :/ i time travel though, so it can get hectic quickly.

i wish there was a way to harvest seeds so you could plant them again and not worry about losing the flowers entirely.

I keep a couple of each in case I ever need to clone or something like that. I threw a lot in the garbage because my island was overflowing, and some were also sold at Nook's. You could also do a giveaway/sell them to other users!

My island is almost totally covered in flowers, I was just selling some today actually! Yeah I got my beach filled with em too, I have it look like they're bleeding out from the mainland. To think I was desperate to get my hands on rose and lily seeds 2 months ago, also mums.

I usually have tons and tons of flowers in my animal crossing towns. Not so much in WW or CF but when they let you take flowers from Tortimer island hoo man I just went nuts lmao.

So what do I do with my incredible excess of flowers in NH? I travel to my friends islands and dump them there(with permission of course)! Especially my cosmos hybrids(I got so many pink and orange ones) Friends have even commented about my flower-filled town, makes me so proud.

Here's a tip I've been using lately! Put a transparent design around the flowers you don't want to spread. That way you can keep them exactly where you like and don't have the hassle of picking up buds every time it rains.

For me, after my island gets a heavy rainfall, I pick up all of my buds and decide if I want to replace any of my current flower spots/beds with them. If i don't, then I just sell them! I use my beaches for aesthetic purposes, so I don't drop them there, and they take too much room in my inventory. So off to Nook's with them! haha

I think it's best way to just let them go. I feel like as long as you have one of every flower type/hybrid somewhere on your island, then you can always make more! So if you don't have a plan for them, don't worry about keeping them

I only keep blue, black, and purple hybrids until I don't have anymore space for them.
I'm planning on using white flowers for my town, but the thought of using hybrids is nice too at times.

I either trash, sell or donate flowers to friends. I have a designated breeding area for flowers so anything that isn't the color I'm working on gets trashed or sold immediately.

I let them sit and breed until the framerate drops whenever I try to walk on my island.

I had so many at one point and figured I could sell them and give some away to friends. If you have hybrids you don't need you could make a small profit off them or gift them to people. With the primary colours I'll either sell them or bin them depending, but people that are trying to start making hybrids may want to get them off you too.

I'm just now getting to the point where my purple roses are getting a little out of hand every time it rains while I'm waiting on all my other purple flowers to reproduce in the same area. I have an ever-growing collection of orange hyacinths, and just piles of the basic ones from when I was focusing on breeding them that I just sell when they grow onto the dirt path. Also the pink hyacinths keep cloning themselves, generally it's becoming hyacinth heck lol. I might just try to sell/give away a few of them to friends, but I don't want to throw a full-blown giveaway because I don't have THAT many lol.

I'm trying to find a place for every flower species/color on my island (with roses throughout since that's my native), but that's becoming difficult especially since a lot of my central area is paved now and there's not much room for flowers so I end up having like 6 red lilies in the entrance and that's it.

Lately I've started looking for good flower combinations and discovered the red tulips are just this awful tomato color that doesn't look good with anything I've tried so far (w/ yellow roses it looks like ketchup & mustard; w/ white tulips or white roses it makes me think of smeared lipstick or candy canes) so that's a struggle. Also white roses are so blinding white I threw them around my beaches because they're too vivid to put with anything that's not a rose and I'm trying to mix species lol.
