What do you do with your fish and insect models?

as for the bug models, i only requested the butterfly ones that i liked and i'm displaying them around my island as i decorate it. when it comes to fish models though... i only ended up making few frog (lol fish) models and i plan to put them somewhere near the water so it looks like there's few frogs just chilling.

i put the insects i like around my main 2 flower patch’s. I tried the fish but was just really disappointed in their models.

I wanted to make a cute little banded dragonfly model because I have a cafe that was supposed to be dragonfly themed to match sable’s traditional dragonfly pattern... but the model turned out to be HUGE and gross I honestly barfed a little. So it’s just chilling in my storage lol. I also had a Koi model I used in my house to go with some of my red-themed furniture in my living room.

I can relate; I knew the dragonfly was going to be big but I did not know how detailed it was. 🤢 I was planning on using it to represent some sort of creature in Dragon Age, but I think I might use the monster statue or a different model instead.

Sorry to hear that it messed up your plans a little. :( That idea sounded really lovely and cute 😊.

I like to place them in really wild/overgrown parts of my island, but sparingly. It tends to fill the area and make it look a little more “real” I guess, haha.

I place them around the island, trying to make them look either natural or comical.

I had the tarantula and scorpion model out near stairs and successfully freaked people out multiple times. Since a revamp I haven’t found a spot for anyone but then and a few butterflies are likely to fill in some holes in ledges and such.

Im not sure about fish models but for the insects model I always doctorate my island because I have nature theme island.

I have a lot of bug models scattered around my town, mostly in my enchanted forest part.

Right now I'm saving most of them in my storage. The butterfly models sell for a decent amount of TBT on here!

I have a bunch of ribbon eel models in my other character's house. They were the closest thing I could find that look like the alien parasite symbiotes from the show Stargate SG-1 which is what the theme is based on because I'm a big dumb nerd Anyway it felt a bit silly hunting for like 10 of the same model lmao

aha i admire your goal, i would definitely be more motivated to make the models if my storage wasn't almost full, but i'm yet to make even one. i think when i do eventually obtain some i'll decorate around the museum with them.

I make models of creatures I like/think look cool and plan to use them as decoration on my island! I have a tropical jungle/resort theme going on right now so I think using creature models will fit perfectly with my theme.

I put butterfly models outside around my island on rattan stools to give them height. They look cute in the middle of a flower patch all spaced out.

I use them to decorate the cliffs of my Japanese-style market street. At first it was more of a placeholder thing until i figured out something better to put there but, I dunno, I kinda like it where they are, fills a space that would otherwise go to waste, y'know? ^^'

I saw someone make a butterfly garden with their models and thought it was an adorable idea. Would look a bit out of place in the upcoming winter months, but it'll be a project for the spring. Plan to use some of the fish models for my dig site and a little beach-side fish market.
