I have a self-goal to obtain every model via CJ and Flick, but once I get the model, I'm not sure what to do with it. Other than the Dorado I don't really want to display any of them in my house, though a lot of them are pretty nice. What do you all do with them?

I only make models of the bugs I like. I’ve made a tarantula, and bell cricket. I plan on displaying as soon as I find the right spot in town.
In my fish market, I use them as food displays. One stall sells for napoleon fish flavored ice cream.

this! literally exactly what you described is exactly how i am with these models. i want to make an effort to make literally everyone i can, but.. once it's finished.. it just goes into my storage ^^;

I use two dorado models to commemorate my great achievement of getting two dorados one after the other in NL. They are the greeters in my house.

Dorados are the best fish. Collecting 80 Dorado models should have been my real goal.
I hide tarantula models in my forest and flower beds (the color blends in with orange pansies), scorpions on the beach creeping behind barrels/pirate areas, butterflies floating like lost spirits around my cemetery, and then a big ol Goliath beetle right on the shore staring out into the ocean
Tbh, I really want the giant sized beetles models, like the goliath beetle display. I haven't had summer yet though. I might give in and buy some.

I just placed the bug models along a narrow strip by the beach because I don’t have anything to put there. The banded dragonfly model is huge and I don’t know where to put it, so it just sitting at a random beach spot until I find a place for it.

I want all the grand models, I think I'm missing one beetle. I have those surrounding a moon as a large decorative area. Other than that I just kinda scatter them wherever they look nice. Most recently I stuck a ribbon eel model in my shell area, looks cute.

I’m going to try to use as much as possible to decorate to save myself some storage space (butterflies, stags, scorpions, tarantulas and fish). I want to save all of them since i am in the process of collecting them all and i am a hoarder even though the non butterfly stags all disgust me

I put one up in my outdoor aquarium and a few inside my mermaid basement. Honestly I've stopped getting the fish models unless they're new fish that are cool! If we had more storage space I'd for sure get more made! I'm not too sure what to do with them either!

I forgot to completely answer the question, sorry. Right now, I’m using butterfly models, scorpion and a tarantula models in the area that’s the crossroads (DAI reference) of magical mirrors. In my bazaar/outpost, at the archaeological site, I have a scarab beetle and golden stag model out. I have one moray eel model on the hanging garden/kaldina (last cloudia reference) area near the outpost and plan on getting one more to put out.

Not gonna lie, I only make the models that I like (only bug ones because I'm usually too lazy to do CJ's challenge, lol) and proceed to put them in my storage. I started moving Lily-of-the-valleys into my rock arrangement, but I might alternate between using a bug model and Lily-of-the-valley instead after reading this thread. :3
