Which absolutely sucks because I have cried (read "violently sobbed") so much in my life that my tear ducts and area around my eyes have been damaged, so whenever i cry i get these horrible red popped blood vessels and swelling around my eyes, which last days
Usually I'll go swim if possible. If not then I take a walk generally. Sometimes I'll write which can help too.
I also try to remind myself it's a fleeting feeling or situation and soon it'll pass.
I clean the house. I find it therapeutic and distracting, plus I can then be upset in a tidy home. Then I usually have a cup of tea, ring my Mum, calm down and read til I feel back to normal. It doesn't take long tbh, and it takes a lot for something to properly bother me.
