What do we know about the mobile app so far?

NINTENDO IS COMING OUT WITH A NEW MOBILE APP FOR ANIMAL CROSSING, WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT IT SO FAR.

-Nintendo is branching to mobile devices.
-That there is an app in development.
-It involves Animal Crossing in some way.
-It's officially confirmed.
-It's coming Soon?.

That's about it, really.

Hopefully it doesn't become like every other mobile game and doesn't get filled with microtransactions (and even then I still won't play it because I don't have a mobile phone and I'm not a fan of touching the screen to control everything especially movement). It's also not being developed by Monolithsoft (the people who developed New Leaf); instead it is being developed by DeNA (I think it's pronounced DNA) who are a mobile giant in Japan and are also developing a new Fire Emblem mobile game. Hopefully the series will never become a mobile exclusive since I really want a Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing game that's not a spin-off.
