What do OC'S mean?

I'm pretty sure they mean "Other Characters" as in your other characters you have in your town besides your mayor. Is what I think OC means "Other Characters" am I right?

People have characters that are, in a nut shell, their character. Anyone can have one. You just need to make him/her up. OCs can vary quite extensively.

OC = Original Character

OC applies to anything you created yourself. So if you created your own mayor and gave them a backstory from scratch, that is OC. If you said Sonic the Hedgehog is your OC, you are a liar.

it's a terrible misleading term that came about to distinguish characters from copyrighted works from your own characters that you made up

see when i was young it meant a character you created for an original thing, like let's say i made a Sonic FAN character, that would still be an "original character" technically since I made it up, however the world and idea that made me make the character is not mine.

An OC does not have to be a mayor, it can be any type of character that you made up yourself.
