i've unlocked the second floor recently, currently making one of the spaces a colorful diner.
other than storage, what did you use for your museum exhibits?

I have more ideas than I have space for...

I currently have one space for Gulliver's souvenirs and one space for the nintendo items from the fortune cookies. I haven't yet decided what I want to do for the other two spaces!

i used mine to store villager pics - i had the whole collection and needed all 4 exhibits + an entire character’s house to store them all lol

I know this is gonna sound boring, but storage space, lmao. I think there was only 1 room i decorated with all the nintendo themed mario items.

I decorated my museum rooms with themes that wouldn't have worked in my house.

Room 1 - Mushroom Kingdom

Room 2 - A Bug's Life

Room 3 - Memories (Contains all of my past & present villager pics. There are more now.)

Room 4 - Under the Sea

I only used one of my rooms in a previous town, but it was a cute hotel room!

I have a 7/11, a little cafe with desserts, a miniature dinosaur model room, and a zodiac room that has the east and western zodiacs

I did a Monster Hunter theme room, a history room, a classroom, and a LoZ history room. In my other towns l did nothing with them or l used for storage space for flowers.

Un-orderable furniture sets.

Top Left - Splatoon
Top Right - 7-Eleven
Bottom Right - Pascal
Bottom Left - Mermaid

one is for the Nintendo items and the other three are currently flower and tree storages. But I do hope to turn them into somthing special eventually!! I know for sure that one will be for villager pictures!!

Wow...digging up some old memories here, but...I used one of them for music stuff. Had a bunch of instruments, and all the KK albums in there. Then I used a second one for geological stuff. I had pedestals with each of the gems inside (I can't tell you how much I miss having these in NH). That room was all just rocks and minerals. Basically, one sample of each item, and some other earth/sciency related stuff. Don't think I used the other two rooms. If I did, I can't remember what for. Maybe I should go check. I remember loving my museum exhibits quite a bit. Took a long time perfecting those.

Since they're museum exhibition rooms, I went for:

Room 1 (Hall of Memories) - A golden room that contains pictures of past and present villagers (eventually will just contain my favourites).
Room 2 (Japanese Restaurant) - For villagers and visitors or guests I invite over to my town to partake in.
Room 3 (Empty) - Have yet to decide on what to make of this room.
Room 4 (Hall of VVIPs) - A cloud and sky themed room that contains pictures of important NPCs (Isabelle, Tom Nook and sons, etc.).

For storage, I have the secret storeroom expansion from Tom Nook and a secondary character that I named Office (also unlocked the secret storeroom expansion for him and his home will be an office building). Furthermore, I attach non-orderable clothings and items that I rarely use or probably will never use to letters addressed to my future self and store them in the post office. :)

So far I've used mine for a music hall, a botanical garden and a library. I always loved seeing all the different instruments and music history in museums so I knew I had to have a music hall. Then a botanical garden since I don't use all the flower colours in my town but I still wanted to collect them all so it was the perfect solution. Finally the library, I felt it was a given since I can't be having illiterate villagers and I love library's. For the fourth room I still need to decide between a museum cafe / restaurant or displaying all Gulliver's souvenirs.

My sister occupies two exhibits which she uses for random reasons. As for the other two rooms, I use it to store the majority of Nintendo themed items and the prizes I won through Desert Island Escape and Puzzle League. I also display shirts that my villagers wear as their default clothing.

Storage mostly.
Have all four filled with Gracie & other clothes, random stuff (balloons, hand wands, boppers, etc.), some furniture items, and bush starts.

I actually uses it as extra storage since I was such a hoarder specially with rare items I just placed everything there. Niw they empty after giving them away and selling some.

i made bedrooms for celeste, blathers, isabelle, and digby! celeste and blathers ofc because the museum is their turf, and isabelle and digby bc isabelle is always at town hall and i worry about her not having a home, and digby because i always feel so bad for him when it's raining and he has to stand by himself outside ;;
the other npcs, i like to pretend they have living quarters above/behind their respective shops!
