my town names were cloudluv and clarity. i genuinely have no idea as to why i named them that, but i suppose that’s the kind of stuff you come up with when you’re 11.
I named my new NH island Aurelia because I was looking for a yellow/gold theme and it just looks neat, sounds nice and goes well with my name as well. I recently restarted again looking for a new name, so I get the struggle. I always struggle over my names too haha.
Japanese is such a pretty language and it's always a great resource to find a nice sounding name.
Before NH was released, I was looking at hawaiian islands for inspiration, but ended up naming it just Hawaii. I think basic names like that are great because you're already so used to them and it won't look odd a year from now for example. I highly considered Lehua because of its crescent shape and its folklore, but I just don't like the shape and sound of it and I don't like that it's shorter than my name.
Before New Leaf, I always just used real city names. First mine (luckily in an offline game lol) and then Paris. I also tried fandom places like Rosewood or Arcadia, but your liking can always change and you might cringe over the connection. Though I really like Arcadia as a seperate idea due to its meaning.
I wonder if we'll ever be able to change our town name (and our own as well) in the future. xd
my first new leaf town was named Cheshire, as in Cheshire Cat! i ended up remaking it two years or so after welcome amiibo came out (a decision I would come to regret), and i named that one Macaron.
I have two New Leaf towns. The first one is named Sakura because I like the sound of it and the meaning behind Sakura blossoms. I didn't go into it with a theme in mind, but I did end up decorating with a more Asian theme.
My second town is named Nocturne. It's still a work in progress, but the plan is to make it a Gothic Victorian town set during the nighttime.
I just ordered a copy of New Leaf after selling mine years ago, but I know that I want to name my town La Noche. It's going to be the same, yet different, from my NH island, Goomy. The environmentalist that I am, they share a very natural and zen theme, and all 5 cranky wolf villagers bc I have a problem, Goomy has very upbeat, warm tones, while La Noche is just going to be a chill, quiet town with lots of cool-colored flowers (especially blue and purple pansies!!!) and more zen, calm PWPs.
I named my very first town Cheshire as it was the name of my WW town and also the name of the county (in the UK) that I was born in and when I reset my town I changed the name to Kanto as I love Pokemon and I was feeling really indecisive at the time.
After taking a few years break from NL I returned to it earlier this year and reset my town again so now it's called Adrastea, which is also the name of the smallest inner moon of Jupiter, as I wanted a celestial name and this one was my favourite out of the ones I was considering.
My Town Pass card (TPC) says "I love Sharp Town so much!"
It's my town and I'm proud of my hard work to make it a better place and bring people together.
I had a TPC picture do-over once because I like my second outfit better than the first one. I might have another TPC picture do-over at some point, maybe in a few weeks or months.
You can even do poses apparently ( didn't know that, I'm going to try it next time):
That means ladder shades, festivities, and the board says that that today from 5 PM all items in the Nookling store will be half price (don't miss your chance at great deal!)‼
I can't wait to see the fireworks in August (too bad there isn't one for the summer solstice):
