What Did You Accomplish On Your Island Today?

It is now past 5AM so this was technically yesterday but…

- Got the informative statue from Redd. I have to rely on a guide because I’m not good at identifying artwork otherwise. According to the guide, the statue was genuine, as it was the gray version, so hopefully I’m not let down and I can donate it to my museum next time I log on.

- I didn’t want a random villager moving onto my island, so I ended up going on a mystery island tour and picking up Bianca. She’s not a dreamy, but I decided to settle for her because I do like her.

During the last few days:

I planted a lot of
- flowers that I want all around the island,
- bushes,
- trees that I dug up at different stages of growth.

I decorated one small area that I think turned out great, and a long pathway along one side of the beach, which I think is still missing a few somethings (I don't know what those are yet) but it's good enough for now. It's definitely much better than it was before.

Now I see that there are some other areas that could be much improved by adding just a few small elements without making everything too cluttered. So I'll need to think about making those areas look better, but that's after filling the empty spots first.

I also figured out that I want a band area in front of my Resident Services building, so I ordered a few guitars. It still needs to be done. I hope the villagers and visitors will use the instruments!

Other than decorating I was doing the usual: talking with villagers, decorating hotel rooms for wandering tourists, catching bugs and fish, picking up shells and fallen stars, planting money trees and all the other daily stuff.

I'm really enjoying the game after the update 😊

Okay, let's see. Today Queenie was in the campsite but I just did not have the wherewithal to try to replace one of the last two villagers I currently have whose photos I also have. Now if it had been a desirable jock I probably would have but not for another Snooty, even though she's (IMO) more awesome than Robin.

Gulliver washed ashore so the daily outfit for the hotel guests was a sailor's shirt and bandana. I bought bug costumes today at Able's.

I sorted the area around where Drake's house was so now it'll be a little bit better of a place. I'm also working in my mind on what to do with a couple of houses that are currently in places I don't like real well. Plus my whole orchard/farm area, I just don't like.

I don't recall where money today came from--must have been this, that, and the other things (mainly some bugs I think) I sold to Nook's, and I pretty well spent it as fast as I made it so had to make a couple of dives to have a little money for the ABD.

Went with Kapp'n and found a vine island second day in a row.

Today for gifting we had shells and coconuts.

- Flick was my visitor for the day, so I sold him some butterflies.

- I donated the informative statue to the museum and it was genuine. This is also my first statue donation since restarting. ^_^

Been sort of busy the last few days so did some here and more there.

I'm working on some villager housing rearrangement, and got a few things ordered for outside use.

I caught a golden trout for the museum the other day, and got Robin's photo today.

I had done some rearranging in the house so now the HRA dislikes it even more. (Why are they obsessed with everything being the same color? I'd really just like to opt out of that scoring.)

Haven’t had too much time to play

Avalon
Trying to make bells by fishing and diving
Giving gifts to villagers to try and get their photos
Watering veggies
Built and paid off my first incline. Pretty sure I need at least one to get to 3 stars
Chevre asked to come over for a visit and I won the high low card game .
We had a visitor in the campsite his name is Ozzie.

Crescent
Recently welcomed Ed to Crescent
Learned the sadness reaction
Changed the paths to a more spring path .

First of all went to the store for wrapping paper then ran the beach per usual, smacking trees and grabbing coconuts, wrapping as I went. By the end I stuck all the shells in a cupboard that's strategically located.

After that I went about doing various things (watering, checking for flowers, etc.) and gifting along the way. I bought all the wall and floor coverings from the store I didn't already have. And then the rain started. I've been making good headway on getting the flowers corralled just still need to take care of some of the tulips up top. I'm choking on black and orange tulips and have yet to figure out how to get purple since the 3.0 update.

Kapp'n took me to a winter island (Sorry, Kapp'n, too close to winter to be useful or impressive) so I collected weeds and a few things then came back.

I turned my glut of sticks into tools, enhanced them with iron, then sold them at the store. I also made ten shell arches and sold those, despite them never coming up in the 'hot' items they still made a bunch of money.

I also made limited shell furniture (seeing as I only have about four patterns) to be a purtiful place on the beach.

The sixth hotel room is now available. Also a few more goods have been shipped via Kapp'n to locations unknown.

I do not remember which ones but several of the Nook Mile achievements got bumped up to the next levels, one even completed.

I tried catching a char but came back with almost everything but, including a stringfish. Then I found another sturgeon.

Redd had the serene painting for sell at Harv's island. Upon close inspection, it should be the genuine one, so I bought it. I don't believe I have it in my museum yet.

Today I decided to venture into the land of Happy Home Paradise, so after I finished most things on my island I went there and decorated two rooms, the default Eloise's and one for Azalea. I also found two items for sale that I needed.

Here is what I've been thinking about my island. It seems like the hospitality business is the way to go, so I've been toying with the idea the last few weeks of turning the island into a large campground. The ten housing plots are basically cabins for longer term visitors. Sure, no one will really use most of the stuff set up around town (too bad I can't make camp spaces like that, though) but with all the hotel guests there are so many going here, there, and everywhere anyway it doesn't break immersion to think that maybe a couple of them could be using the camping spots. So far the bulk of furniture I've collected would be put to good use that way.

Everyone got pumpkins for gifts, except for Hamphrey was sick so he got medicine.

Anyway, C.J. was in town today so after his challenge I ordered a Marlin model and sold: 2 marlins, 6 sturgeon, and 3 oarfish.

I'm already tired of harvesting fruit to sell (that never takes me long) and already have plans for where to put the various fruit trees I want to keep, like behind the shops and such where if I want to harvest I can, if not it won't matter. I already have my orange trees on the grass closest to the south beach seeing as how they're tropical like coconuts are.

I ordered a storage upgrade which should set me up for quite a while. I got a move kit to put Fuchsia's house in the temporary spot while I do some work around where that lot goes. I love the location for it but it needs some work. Chadder's house is in a good place now so next I can fix up around it.
