What changes on dream islands?

I invited a friend to look at my (incomplete) island through a dream address and he says the "open holes" I dug and left on the island to make a "pothole field" aren't in the dream.

So does anyone know what DOESN'T get exactly preserved on the dream island?
I assume villagers will use my catchphrase, will they use my secret greeting on visitors?
Will they always stay in clothes they were wearing when I uploaded the island?
Will trees stay in the same stage of incomplete growth?
Will beaches stay clear of seashells if I cleared them?
Will the current island special visitor and camper at the time of upload stay there?
Will villagers who "spawned" a DIY bench in a redecorated house still have that bench in the dream?
Is there anything else that will change?

It doesn't answer any of your questions, but I did read somewhere that if you create a dream and you're wearing a custom design in it, then the dream 'you' will be seen wearing a wetsuit instead. Not sure if it's true though as I haven't checked it out but someone here will probably know. Not sure why though, it can't be to prevent someone wearing a t-shirt with an offensive message on or something as there are loads of other ways to use custom designs in the game which definitely are visible in a dream.

This is going to sound really dumb but your wand outfits do not save in the dream address. I saw my character walking with no clothes on when I visited myself on the dream island.

Oh wand outfits, I bet that's what I'm thinking of, not custom outfits!

I know holes never stay. When you save the game and leave all holes are automatically filled back up. So sadly they are only there for the play session and do not appear in dreams either. That is all I know other than what the people above have said about wand outfits.

Some of the answers to your questions:

Seashells will be gone from the beaches if you have cleared them away and then uploaded the DA.
The villagers outfits will be random, I know this because I tried to make them all wear flower crowns just before I uploaded mine, and that was a waste of time. ^^` (Actually, they might just be wearing their original clothes).
The trees will stay in the state of incomplete growth, as far as I have observed on DAs.
I think the campsite will be empty or that you cannot enter the tent anyway, I am unsure of the special visitor, but I can`t remember seeing any of them on the DAs I have visited...
One thing to note about DAs, the person who is dreaming cannot craft anything or open closets.
