There’s so much furniture, plants, and DIYs! It’s crazy! So many possibilities and so little room! How are you guys going to decorate with them?
Any special sitting areas? Fancy gardens? Sassy cafes? Devil worship circles? The possibilities and creative expressions are endless! (Well besides those dang river mouths to deal with...but I digress!)
I've realized that my island has A LOT of sitting areas for absolutely no reason lol. I think I may convert some spaces into gardens. I'm currently working on my bamboo area that'll be filled with mossy stone items and green mums. I'm also working on the area around my museum, which I'll be placing some statues around!
I feel like I'm missing way, way too many items in order to really go all out. In most cases I don't even know if the kind of item I have in mind exists Yesterday I started creating a spooky garden which is basically empty, but I'm looking forward to fill it up. I know that skeletons exist, those could be an option if used in moderation. Also, I'm hoping that they'll release fitting items in October, but I don't want it to look too halloweeny. My problem is that my tastes are very specific so around 75 % - 80% of the items don't even speak to me, but that's on me
For now I'm working on breeding an excessiv amount of black flowers in order to fill the empty spaces all over my island.
I'm "pairing up" my villagers and creating large custom areas for them. That's the plans anyways.
Dom and Roald will own a large gym area.
Sherb and Megan will have a park + manage a large colony of beehives.
Audie helps run a bar/lounge area with Apollo as her cranky boss.
Judy and Tasha, well, haven't come up with a backstory yet. They're just gonna have a dramatic, feminine area that will probably transform into something.
And Raymond manages the 10th house, my cycle house, where I'll help people get their amiibo-related dreamies.
I'm most excited about designing the campsite area! It just seems so fun and there are so many nature-y DIY items like the log series and leaf piles that would look so cute in a campsite.
my villager backyards and one of my alt characters backyards! i’m waiting until i have most of my dreamies to relocate and decorate and i’m still brainstorming ideas for my alt character but i’m excited!
There is a sizable area that is currently the "things go here when I'm moving buildings over one space to the left" zone, but once I have my buildings in place, I'd like to convert it into a mini-plaza, maybe with an area for freebie items and a second fountain.
i wanna start my cafe! i have my bath house neighborhood built and i did a cute little library area inspired by the little shop from kyoukai no kanata but now i have this big space that i wanna fill with pink items and foods! also hoping to finally terraform a place for my nooks and able sisters as well as put down my hedges in front of resident services ^_^ my campsite also needs work but there’s just so much to do literally what have i been doing for 300 hours
The forest area and the little town next to it, kind of like a Beauty and the Beast setup, just with a haunted house instead of a castle. I hope it won't take up more space than I have.
Now that I have all of the soft serve lamps cataloged, I’m excited to make a cafe area near all of my shops! I made one next to my museum off to the rural part of my island to mimic those museum cafes in real life already, but there’s room for another!
If we ever get Brewster back and he gets his own coffee shop, well... I guess that’ll be a problem for future me.
I want to expand on the "common" areas for each of my neighborhoods. Right now, there's a picnic table set up for each of them. I'd like to add a few things, but one is right above the orchard and the other is in front of a river. I might just put little things between houses that they can share.
The other area I'm really loving is the cedar forest on the upper level of my island. It's where my house is and I am having fun adding little things partially hidden by trees and flowers.
