What are your dreamies and WHY?

I'm kind of curious as to the reasons behind people's choices of dreamies so post yours and the reason why you chose each one. I'll start with mine:

Lobo: He was one of my starters and I ended up keeping him because we grew very close. He was my first picture and I pretty much can't imagine my town without him.

Rudy: He was also one of my starting villagers. As you might notice from my other dreamies, cats are my favourite animal. So because he is a cute cat and there seems to be a lack of cute jocks I ended up making him one of my dreamies.

Margie: I've wanted her in my town and to be my bff ever since I saw the movie. I never got her in WW but found her quite early on in New Leaf and she even moved in right near my house.

Tangy: She is possibly my favourite villager of all time and definitely one of my most nostalgic. She was my closest friend in WW and I just love her design and uniqueness.

Whitney: My love for Whitney started when I watched the movie. She is just portrayed as so elegant and graceful. I wrote a fanfic years ago with Whitney as the main character and I grew even more attached to the character. Having her as a dreamie was pretty much a no brainer and I am so happy to have her now.

Rosie: Another movie character/cat, are you seeing a pattern here? Basically I first saw her in the movie and always loved her design but was never lucky enough to get her in WW. She is now in my town and was definitely worth getting, I just love her.

Phoebe: This was an easy choice as she is one of the only uchis that I actually like the look of. Also the whole phoenix thing made me want her because I am a huge Harry Potter nerd

Tom: He was my first camper and I picked him up because he was cuter than most of the other villagers I had in my town at the time. I had actually planned to trade him but ended up keeping him instead because he grew on me and, as I've said, I am a sucker for cats.

Filbert: I chose him as a dreamie because I love the squirrels (especially now that they're tiny) and he was the only one that fitted in with the personalities of the dreamies I already had. I love his cute face and blue colour and had already had him in WW so knew I would like him.

O'Hare: He was the first smug to move into my town and eventually just because an important part of my town. I considered swapping him for Marshal but I don't think I could do it, just because of how bad I felt when Lopez moved out and I didn't even like him that much. I guess I'm just super sentimental with my villagers.

I have obtained all my dreamies and am super happy with them I'd love to hear what yours are!

Oh, alright! Well my 1st town is going to be based off the movie so there's that... But my main town will have my own dreamies!

Rosie: I've fallen in love with her for best peppy! She's kind of the symbol of all the animal crossing games and she's ADORABLE, so I have to have her.

Whitney: I saw this fantastic artwork of Whitney and I loved her ever since. Also she's in the movie so that's great too.

Marina: Definitely my favorite normal, I've always loved octopi. Also, I'm going for a more seaside town so octopi are my first choice.

Zucker: Got him in the campsite, wanted to sell him but coudln't . He goes perfectly with Marina.

Octavian: He's a better cranky then Apollo since most of my town is small. Completes the 3 octopi.

Shep: I originally had Marshal but then I realized I didn't like him that muhc, but shep is sooooo cute! Best smug.

Mac: TBH he's only my dreamie because there aren't any better jocks

Deirdre: Same with mac, she's the only good uchi

Fauna: I have a plushie of Fauna in real life and I've had her in past games. There are so many good normal villagers so I know my extra spot would be normal, but Marina and Fauna are my favs. I might also move in Skye to go with Whitney.

Diana: I loved her design. I HAD to have her, because pastel blue/pink is my FAVORITE COLOR COMBO EVER and I LOVE deer. Dang, she's a cold woman though. She's flirted with Fang and Julian so many times and Bob LITERALLY has a little-brother kind of crush for her. He blushes whenever he mentions her and he even said she was pretty once but she treats him like a little boy and it's sooooo cute.

Marina: I don't like normal villager personalities all that much but I wanted an octopus because their legs are so cute. For a while that was about it, but she became BFFs with Bob and I headcanon them as around ten to twelve years old, always hanging around each other. I love watching her walk around and she's sent me many kind gifts!

Muffy: At first when I saw her I thought she was really creepy. But then I learned she was an uchi and her birthday was on Valentine's day and I IMMEDIATELY needed her. Now I have her and she's one of my favorite villagers out of my dreamies!

Bob: Because Bob is an adorable cutie. I originally wanted him because he was famous for saying to many weird things, and even though it became watered down I LOVE talking to him. He's the best!

Gladys: It's a long story, but Gladys is based off of a Japanese folktale of my childhood called The Crane Wife. She's a normal villager all right, but she's definitely different in my opinion. She's really clever!

Julian: Ah yes, my horse prince boyfriend. That's all you need to know. He sent me a love letter the day after my ex and I broke up. Wow.

Fang: I had him as my starter in my first town. He also reminds me of a song that makes me feel really at peace- The Soliloquy of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. He's extremely kind to me. Maybe he remembers...

Marshal: Because he's a freaking tier 1 villager and literally #1.
Because I want that kind of hard to get thing. I'm sorry. omg
Nah just kidding. I love Marshal because I love Marshal. I honestly don't find any other squirrel cute, although other people seen to think so.

Villagers I don't have yet are Roscoe and Skye, but I want Skye because she reminds me of Togekiss which is really nostalgic to my childhood. I know it sounds weird, but it's a thing! And I headcanon Roscoe, Julian and Colton even though I don't want Colton to be a trio, Julian being a unicorn, Colton a pegasus where his wings are hidden, and Roscoe the one that the Grim Reaper rides on!

Let's just say, I love all my villagers individually for one main reason - their fabulous designs that matches their personality! but if I had to name more reasons..

Marshal; cutiepatootie white tiny squirrel.
Fang; He was a starter, and I love his simple design. Only cranky for me.
Bam; My best friend 4 lyf. Seriously, he is so amazing and adorable. And I love his blue design. Blue is my favorite color!
Diana; She is gorgeous and she lives right next to Bam (without even plot resetting)
Beau; He lives behind Bam and I love his simple design and his name. :}
Peanut; oh golly gosh. Makes the cutest couple with Marshal, who doesn't love a peppy pink tiny squirrel?
Ankha; most queen-like cat i've ever seen, the boss of my town. :}
Merengue; such a sweetiepie, her design is so unique and I just want to eat her up!
Julian; well? He's a darn unicorn!
Coco; My special coco. What is not special about her? She also shares the same birthday as me. :]


I am very aware most of my villagers are tier 1, but I can't helping loving the villagers I do. It's not because of their popularity that draws them in for me, it's just themselves that make me love them. :]

I'm actually pretty fortunate; I have most of my dreamies but just to list them...

Marshal: This guy was one of my starters when I first got New Leaf, and he's been an awesome friend since the start. Can't imagine where the town would be without this guy (even if his fashion choice is a bit questionable...heart tank? seriously?)

Roscoe: Roscoe has been in each of my Animal Crossing villages since Wild World, no matter how many times I've reset. He's just one of those guys that you always know is gonna be there! He may be cranky, but his soft side really shines through once you get to know him, and he almost turns into a big brother of sorts!

Whitney: omigosh. Whitney. You're so pretty and you're like a movie star and I just want you in my town so bad why won't you show up please just eat Monique and take her place I'm sure nobody would mind.

Rosie: Another one of my New Leaf starters, I was super ecstatic to have Rosie, since she is one of my favorite peppy villagers and she was in the movie, which makes her like super popular!

Pekoe: Pekoe kind of just showed up about a week ago, but I've instantly fallen in love with her. She's so nice and she's suggested a few sweet PWP's (which I still haven't worked in D: )

Tank: By far my favorite jock. He's a freakin' RHINO, for goodness sake! At first I wanted to get rid of him because he was like the 3rd or 4th jock I had in my town at a certain time, but now he's my last remaining jock and I've really come to appreciate his personality a lot more.

Ozzie: I wasn't too keen on Ozzie at first. I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of the koala's design in this game. But once he finally came out of his house and ventured out into the town, everyone (including myself) instantly admired him. He's just so dang lovable!

Shari: This is more of a fanboy-ish wish, as I've been following ChuggaaConroy's LP of New Leaf and Shari is probably my favorite Villager from that series, mostly due to the hilarious theories surrounding her and how Chuggaa interprets her personality.

Right now, I only have 8 dreamies...that's because they're my faves from each personality type (except probably Ozzie, but I love so many of the lazies that it's hard to decide who'd be a better fit.) The best part is, I already have 6 of them! I just need Shari and Whitney (please srsly get rid of monique she's hideous and her house is too close to mine!)

Alright. I guess I'll talk about mine:

Hopper - My favorite character in the entire Animal Crossing franchise!!!! I love his design, Cranky villagers are my favorite, and, I got him as a starter, and was even one of the three to meet me at the train station. I seriously fainted when I saw him and two others as my starters.

Hans - This dude is cool! He is a freaking Yeti, and I love it. I have always had an interest in Cryptozoology, and was very happy to find out I was getting a Yeti in my town. When I first saw the plot for his house, the name didn't really boast much interest in me, as my first thought it was going to be a hamster (Sorry, but I think the new personalities are better than the new deer and hamster species). But just imagine my surprise when I walked into his house, expecting a small hamster, but instead found a huge Yeti standing in front of me.

Mira - The newest resident of my town. I have said it before and I will say it again! I am a complete Sailor Moon fanboy, so when I realized that she was supposed to be based on Sailor Venus, I immediately knew she HAD to become a resident of my town. Even though Sailor Mercury is my favorite of the senshi, Venus is probably my 5th favorite. I originally had a hard time picking an Uchi.......because there are so many good ones, such as Cherry (only good Dog villager IMO), Muffy, Shari, Phoebe, etc. Sadly I had to let Shari go before I was able to get Mira.

Rory - One of the villagers to meet me at the train station when I started my town. I was so happy to not only get a lion, but also an animal on the cover of the game. That is pretty cool. While Jocks are my least favorite of the personalities, I love having this guy around.

Rolf - My very first camper. I decided no matter WHAT my first camper is I would take him/her into my town. I was genuinely surprised to see an actually pretty cool looking animal in the campsite. I invited him in, and am very glad I got him......even if his home is a disaster!

Ankha - The third of the three starters I still have. This chick is one cool cat! Just like how I like Cryptozoology, I like Mythology as well, and was shocked to see such an obvious reference to Egyptian mythology in my town.

Marina - I love the octopus villagers....a lot! She was also the 3rd total move in! Also fun fact. One day I was swimming on the island and got an octopus, and decided to let it go. The VERY NEXT DAY, the plot for Marina's home appeared.

Skye - After Harry moved out, I needed a new villager. A friend of mine suggested Skye, and I am so happy I took his advice!.... Even if Skye is totally trying to start up a mafia in my town.....

Ribbot - I was looking for a new villager to put into my town, and came across this guy in the campsite. I thought he seemed like fun, so I decided to take him.

Muffy because a joke freshman year resulted in me having the nickname Muffy. Plus I think she's super cute.
Stitches because I had him in my WW and CF towns and I love him a whole lot and miss him ;w;
Olivia because I love her design.
Diana because she's so cute and her house is darling.
Fuchsia because punk rock Uchis are the dream.
Whitney, Lobo, Wolfgang, or Chief: I've had all of them in past towns and I used to be a huge wolf nut, so I'd love to have them again.
Aurora: She was my all time favorite neighbor and I had her in several WW towns and my CF town. I'd love to have her again. She came into the cafe for coffee today and I freaked out ;w;

I had Shari for a while to for the same reason! I however had to let he go to make room for Mira. I am probably going to be getting rid of Pinky and getting Chester though. That way I can still have a 'little piece of Palette' living in my town!

Wolves are one of my favorite animals, so naturally I just want them all LOL.

Chief: I had him in both GC and WW. He was my all-time favorite villager and I just had to have him back.

Wolfgang: I had him in WW as well. I'm pretty bummed that he seems to have mellowed out now (doesn't play K.K. Rock anymore), but I still love him nonetheless.

Lobo: Had him in GC. Instantly fell in love because his eyes looked weird lol.

Freya: When I joined ACC, she was my namesake. She stayed my namesake for various accounts for another 10 years. Seriously who wouldn't love a pink wolf?

Whitney: I was super bummed when Freya was not included in WW. I was lucky enough to get Whitney and honestly I love her too!

Fang: Had him in WW. Super lovely design, and I kind of thought he was a girl at first.

Skye: I was super happy when I found out there was a female non-snooty wolf! No offense to Freya and Whitney (love them both!) but there needed to be some variation! She's such a sweetheart and super adorable. I love the color sky blue as well. She's just perfect. c:

Kyle: He looks like a Hyena and his smug personality fits him well. I had him before but lost him. *_*

Beau: I don't really consider him a "dreamie" since I wasn't looking for him. He randomly moved into my town and I just became super attached.

Rosie: I had her in one of my towns, GC or WW. I can't remember. I think she's adorable and I do really love cats.

Genji: He has a really strange design which I love. I don't like too many Jocks but he is one of the few. c:

Tammy: I think all of the cubs are super cute. I love her phrase "ya heard" LOL. I don't know why but it makes me laugh.

I know I can't have all of them, so I am considering moving two of my crankies over to my second town once I finish cycling. c:

Julian: By far my favorite villager ever! He is very unique with that horn of his.

Maple: I had her once but I deleted that town. She's just a cutie and I wanna hold her!!

Ankha: Bow down she da queen.

Marshall: I don't understand his popularity, but I'm a sucker for popular/rare things.

Graham: He looks like he would be from Hamtaro. Well actually all the hamster villagers do.

I've attained all of them (too lazy to change too lol), but if i were to replace ALL of them with new villagers here is my new dream town:

Cole He's cute. I like his name Cole, it reminds me of Rust Cohle's character in True Detective. If I redo my town from scratch I want to name my town Carcosa and have him in it :3
Vesta I've always liked the sheep characters and I've never had her as a normal before.
Elise Hands down my favourite snooty ever. I love her big round glasses and big lips, she reminds me of my best friend Jane. I want her in my town someday.
Diva She's crazy looking and I like that. Also not fond of the Uchi characters (Shari in my town right now is my favourite out of all of them <3), but I like her lips and she's cool looking.
Hopper My favourite character from the movie! He's so cute
Bangle She looks like a bunch of fun <3
Goose I love his permanent intense stare. Just looking at this character makes me laugh.
Lucha Same with the Uchis, I don't like a lot of the smug characters... but Lucha is cool looking. He was in my campsite twice but I had no room.. One day...
Snake I like that he looks like a ninja. I also really like the jock personality, it's my favourite after Lazy and cranky
Tucker He's a mammoth! Seriously, so cool.

Wolfgang: ive had him in every ac town up to this point. hes always been there for me and he helps me feel valued and loved.
kyle: I really like his design and he reminds me of my fantroll, kurnaz. also him and wolfgang totally need to open a guitar shop together yo
zucker: god, ive wanted him since the second I saw him (browsing new villagers before the game came out in us) I just love his design, he looks like a cutie.
lopez: I just saw him and instantly loved him, instant connection yo
muffy: I love lolita fashion, particularly gothic lolita, and muffy is a gothic lolita sheep! also shes a totally rad dame lol
renee: I really love her color scheme and eyes, particularly. shes like a pastel goth rhino.
felicity: ive been eyeing her for a while and finally chose her as my peppy dreamie. idk why, I just really like her design.
yuka: I fell in love with her in my cf days. I had her as my acc avatar for a while!
annalisa: shes just such a cutie, I finally picked her as my normal dreamie after going through the list for the fiftieth time.
rod: I dont really like the jocks, but I like the idea of a swabby mouse! hes a really cute villager, I love his little whiskers.

I might be forced to change renee to katt, though, bc renee put her house in the literal worst place. so, because of that;

katt: I used to hate katt bc I thought she was ugly, but now its a sort of charming ugly? with katt you either love her or hate her, and I love her.

This will be fun to read. I'll have to go back and read everybody's after I post (Mine are in no particular order)

Velma: I only consider her my dreamie now because I am so attached to her. I just love her personality and how she rants about UFO's (unidentified flying oranges). She is such a snooty geek it makes makes me smile. It is the type of person who wants to be part of that in crowd but is so geeky that they will never be. She reminds me a little bit of myself if I was more outgoing.

Chrissy: I restarted my town twice. Once because I didn't like the name and twice because we transferred my SD card data wrong and I lost everything so I had to start over. She was in one of my very first town and I thought she was so sweet and I grew fond of her because she made me smile. (I got AC when my dog died, so the fact that she made me happy was a big deal.) She was like having a best friend that was never grumpy at you.

Muffy: I am a big knitter and spinner so I love sheep. She also looks like she has a Lolita styled headdress on which I am also interested in. I would love to have her in my town because of that. I also like the fact that she is a black sheep because the fleece color on real black sheep is so pretty!

Lucky: I didn't like him at first until I realized that he was a mummy. I had him in my town for a while and I loved him. He was so cute and being a lazy Egyptian dog was just so perfect since I'm a big fan of Ancient Egypt. He was an accidental move out and I would love to get him again one day.

Ankha: Egyptain and a cat? What could be better? I would love to get her for her looks. I just love her character design.

Pekoe: I love the fact that she is named (in my mind) for orange pekoe which is a type of tea that is common. I just think she is cute and would fit into my town (which is named Teapot) perfectly.

Diana: She is my favorite of the deer type. She is just so pretty and the deer are so cute!

Penelope: Bows as ears. Enough said.

Pecan: I think she is the cutest squirrel ever. Just cute.

Lobo: He was one of my first villagers in my very, very first town (not Teapot) and I warmed up to his cranky personality. I would like to get him in my current town one day

So mostly, my motivation behind most of mine is looks.

Food Villagers enough said...
And most of the ones in Azalea are due to nostalgia, such as Vesta my bff in Wild World and GC, and Tangy my bff in GC

But Honestly i was thinking today if i could only have 10 villagers in one town, these would be the ones i would have..

Vesta: My bestfriend from GC, i just can't describe how much i love her, she was in my GC town, then she lived in every single WW town i had, then she even moved into my CF game as a starter tooo, shes inescapable and i adore her
Merengue: My entire food course at school was based around a Meringue, and i have such strong and fond memories of baking Meringues with my Nana, and just aw
Tangy: Another best friend from Gamecube, i remember each night i would run around to her house and sit on her chair, and watch her Apple TV, my parents who also lived in that town, used to always joke about it, and even bought Me all of Tangy's items, to have in my home
Willow: I love the sheep, and shes just honestly, the cutest Snooty of all time, i absolutely adore Willow, and i don;t think i could ever be without her, shes just too cute, i remember seeing her in the City, and from that moment, i had to have her, and reset my town in CF looking for her, though i never got attached to CF so had to have her here
Mira: I watched Sailor Moon when i was growing up from the age of 4, and it has always been my favourite Anime of all time, and Sailor Venus was my utter favourite
Apple/Flurry: I adore Hamsters and these are the two cutest.. I got my first hamster aged 11, and still own atleast one now, i just have to have a Hamster..
Stitches: He was one of my best friends in WW and is my ultimate Lazy, he later moved into my CF town as my 10th villager,and i just adore him
Marshal: I picked him out in June as the one smug i needed to have; hes just too cute, and this was before i even realised he was uber popular, and wanted to smuch, i just love him.
Bam/Rudy: The two cutest Jocks, i would pick one of them
Rolf: He is the best CRANKY in the entire franchise, and anyone who disagrees is wrong, his look just perfectly fits the image of a Cranky villager, and hes just amazing

They would be who i would choose between if i could only have one town lol

I think I've done something like this before but!!!

Julian: I first met him when I was just a citizen in a friend's town before I even had a DS or the game. He was always so nice to me that I knew I had to have him in my own town! I never realized he was so popular tho haha!

Renee: I think I saw art of her and Fuchsia before I started playing and I was just fortunate enough to have her as a random move-in! She's so cute but cool. ;o

Fuchsia: Reason stated above... Plus, I love her design.

Lobo: I'm Latina and I speak Spanish, so when I first heard of "Lobo the wolf" I thought it was so funny! Plus my old dog was named Lobo (he was a wiener dog haha). I love the name Lobo so it's like... Wolf the wolf ... It's just so funny to me!

Freya: She always looked hella fierce to me with her fierce eyeliner! I really enjoy her design and she's one of the few snooty's I actually like.

Flora: I love birds *o* Plus she's pink! I love pink (if you haven't noticed with Freya, Fuchsia, and Renee)! She reminds me of flamingos and I think her design with the peppy attitude is really endearing.

Beau: Honestly, it was the design. I saw him and I thought he was probably the cutest little thing ever. While I'm not crazy about Lazy villagers, I made an exception with him because his eyes were so pretty and I love his house!

Bam: Blue. I just...a blue deer! I loved him!

Skye: She is adorable?????? I love normals and her design just blew me out of the water like...wow!!!

I know I have superficial reasons (most of these are design based) but I don't care! I am a very aesthetic person ;o

 

[Mayor Storm]

They're not my dreamies, but my favourite villagers are:
- Freya I have her in my town at the moment, and she is so pretty and nice ^-^ I've been round her house and she's been round mine so much, we're always bumping into each other and she's so kind and cute :3
- Rosie Another cutie that lives in my town ^-^ I genuinely love the peppy personality, they're all so cute and kind and fun to be around, and I love Rosie's appearance as well. I also love her catchphrase, 'silly'.
- Robin She holds a special place in my heart because I had her for over a year on my CF town. She can be really harsh and blunt, but I love her simply because she was with me for so long.
- Zell His design is awesome :3 I just.. ugh <3 Hehe ^-^ Can't get enough of that smug little deer <3

Well First off Chief and Genji were long term favorite villagers of mine as they were villagers in my WW town for super long.
There were many long term faves but these two HAD to come back.

Olivia was a starter villager in my NL town and Muffy moved in a few days after on her own,
and I got REALLY attached to both of them.

Shep & Zell I randomly saw in the forums, and I simply fell in love with their looks.
A sheepdog and an Oryx? Yes please! Super original and fun.
edit: Actually I first saw Zell watching ACNL videos on youtube while waiting for my game to be shipped.

Papi I fell in love with in a visit to a dream town.
Originally I wanted to get Savannah as my horse villager (I had her in WW, she was a astarter villager and stayed til the end).

Also he is based off of an Okapi so that makes him even more awesome.
I decided I'd let the memory of Savannah be intact and give this new horsey a try.

Lucy, Bianca and Melba just sort of came randomly by browsing around.
I was looking for a peppy to replace Dotty who I dislike, and Bianca is unique (snow leopard yeeaah) and looks sweet.
Lucy and Melba are really cute, and since Lucy has moved in I've really gotten attached to her.

My dreamies are basically any rabbit villager! This is because in real life, I have house rabbits (well I have one now, as my eldest died :c) and I have a very special bond with them. I love anything and everything to do with rabbits! I miss my rabbits a ton whilst I'm at university and would just love a town full of rabbits <3~

I have a semi-free range house rabbit myself, a lop called Chewbacca.
I recently lost my other bunbun Kirby, at a very young age sadly.
Rabbits make fantastic pets especially when they are not locked up in stupid cages.
