What are your Animal Crossing related unpopular opinions?

Didn’t see a thread and people explaining their opinions can be interesting. So what are some of your unpopular opinions? I’ll go and share a few aswell

Photopia on Harv’s island isn’t too bad, and a fun idea. But needs to be expanded on. Maybe we can save rooms we might want later? Or have the NPCs be a bit more customisable. I understand why we can’t make certain NPCs wear a dress or give them pants. But if an NPC happens to fit a role in a scene parody/recreation, it’d be nice to at least have a selection so we can make that NPC fit whatever role we want. Like it’s a stage play and they are an actor

I prefer Cyrus over Reese

I prefer Blathers over Celsete

I wish villagers could play more mini-games with you than just the treasure hunt. The treasure hunt is fine, but gets repetitive after a while.

I don’t really like C.J., or any of the fishing or bug tournaments.

Harriet is my favorite NPC.

I like Tom Nook. He gets way too much hate, but I can’t tell if it’s ironic or not lol.

Terraforming is fun, I'm glad it was added to NH.

Tia and Merengue together are overrated, I prefer Chai and Tia together as the perfect combination.

I don't like the rude villagers in Population Growing, I get sick of them fast.

I liked it better when the sheep villagers used to wear scarves, their clothes look too tight on them.

I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but Lottie is my favorite special character.

I'm also not sure if this is an unpopular opinion, as well, but the a.m. and p.m. soundtracks in New Horizons aren't so good compared to the a.m. and p.m. soundtracks in previous games.

The cows and bulls are my all-time favorite villager species to the point that I have all 10 of them available as my island residents.

I don't care about bug and fishing tournaments, I only participated in the two events once to get the exclusive items.

I don't like Blathers' excessive blabbering, I'm glad it got toned down in New Horizons.

I agree with the music. The best part of the game is for me the beginning. The music is so cozy! Then the hourly songs begin and I don't like them at all.

Unpopular or not, I would like more events in the game. More NPCs, more minigames, more stuff to get for different events in the world. The game is getting boring too quickly.

• I don't care for the soundtrack or music at all. I play with the sound off because I'm rather indifferent to it
• I find animalese irritating, but I still don't want to get rid of it

When my sister and I first heard animalese, we burst out laughing and tried imitating it, but got used to it eventually lol.

This seems to be very unpopular, but I think New Horizons has better hourly music than New Leaf. At least it has more tunes that stand out to me.

(I think both of them pale in comparison to the older games' music, though.)

I hate Goose and he should be turned into a bucket of fried chicken and killed off permanently from the series. Same goes for Blanche, 99% of the gorillas, and Wart Jr. I hate the Gyroids sooooooooo much that if I ever find one, it’s going into the trash immediately. They’re so ugly and useless and a total waste of space!

I really don’t like Isabelle. I find it difficult to like her in any aspect. I know she’s a lovable character, but not for me.

Pretty much my exact popular opinions too! I always have my own stuff playing, and I'm not a big fans of the game's soundtrack.

Mine would be is i dont think they over did customization in new horizons, instead they took too much away from the villagers
i also think diy and crops were good additions to the game as a whole

I also really don't like the peppy villagers, they tend to irritate me with their emotional outbursts. (That's probably even more unpopular.)

Mine would be:
Resetti did nothing wrong. He's one of my favorite special characters, and even as a kid I wasn't scared of him- and I saw him often, as I was a dumb kid and thought Wild World finned fish only spawned once per day, and if I failed- which I always did- I'd reset and get ranted to by Resetti. But I didn't care! I like him. The kids who reset and then got scared by him showing up, yeah, ok the first time might've been startling, but if they continued to reset after that? and it wasn't like, battery dying or w/e? Then it was their own fault for getting scared by him.

5 am is the ONLY good New Horizons hourly track. All the others are mid at best.

If I could punch anyone, I'd punch Redd. He scammed me so much, and I see red when I see Redd. Because in Wild World and City Folk, there was no visual indicator if the art was fake or not. It was a coin flip, and if you got unlucky- like I did so many times- Blathers would tell you the art was fake and you had been scammed out of a ton of Bells.

Tom Nook is a good guy. I am pro-Tom Nook.

Semi-related to hourly music, i think 2 and 4 and 5 am ar the only good tracks annnnnd just my luck that i play at 3 am an became super paranoid about one of my villagers; wolfgang, who gave me the recipe for cherry jelly when i have a villager named cheri he was the only on awake it was so creepy
