What are you doing for New Years Eve/Day?

I wanted to go visit family for new years but that plan fell through due to lack of time for planning. instead I'm re-starting my shiny Absol hunt in Pokemon Pearl, tried to hunt this last year and I got it but then I killed it rip. not gonna drink or party or anything, just a quiet evening with my dog, my 3DS, and Match Game 73 playing in the background (yeah ik I'm old at heart lmaooo) :>

i was hoping my sister could visit but unfortunately she couldn't, so it was just me, my parents and my brother
i still had a lovely evening, we played some card games and i ate a whole tub of ice cream ☆

also it's funny because i've been wanting to start pokemon diamond again, i might do that tomorrow because out of all the pokemon games i've played, diamond & pearl are the only ones i've never completed, i've been thinking of just getting platinum but apparently it's even harder
it's weird because it was also my first pokemon game, i just could never beat cynthia (i still haven't on any pokemon game lol)

With my immediate family/household and BIL. My eldest sister’s birthday is tomorrow. So it usually a 2 day celebration.

Coronavirus, so. Nothing but a nice home celebration!

Last year I was at work, and I took my lunch break around midnight so that I could celebrate it. This year I'm just happy to be not at work, and able to celebrate it however I see fit. I know it's a little strange to prefer this New Year's to last year's, because at least I was able to go out and about after work last year, but it really feels like I've been given an opportunity to see 2020 off in a positive way.

I'm celebrating the same way I do every year...staying home with my husband and playing Animal Crossing. I don't drink or party so a nice, quiet evening at home is perfect for me.

I'm listening to Tycho, Black Marble, Nujabes and just chilling. My dog almost had a heart attack because of the fireworks, I tried to keep it calm, but the scratched me like crazy, poor boy.

Just gonna have a party with me and my imaginary friends in my room. Normally, I would be on Club Penguin for new years, but I can't do that this year because of the conversion to HTML5.

So, i'm just gonna chill with the black light on and lights off, blasting music and watching movies till 12am hits here. (3 hours till new years!!)

Home with the cats and Animal Crossing. I picked up a nice dinner from my favorite restaurant, watched a movie, read for a bit. A lot of what I normally do.

I'm going to bed right after midnight, and only staying up because I want to do the celebration in NH.

Tomorrow is a free day for me, because we're closed. I might try starting the new embroidery kit I got for the holidays.

I saw a super funny post on twitter a couple of years back where the OP spent their last two new years not touching on earth (they jumped) so that's now what my siblings and I do... we jump on one and spend the first moments of the new year airborne.

I spent New Year's Eve on video chat with my friends. We were scrambling to find a count down clock so I opened up ACNH and shared my screen. I rang in the New Year with my friends and my villagers, and they found it mildly entertaining.

I'm spending a quiet New Years at home, and I'm going to kick off my resolution of healthier habits by getting a yoga and meditation session in at some point today.

I didn’t do anything terribly special for New Years, but honestly I never do! Generally my friends will have a big party with lots of people and alcohol involved which makes me uncomfy. I usually stay home and that didn’t change this year! The only difference was instead of ringing in the New Year with my New Leaf town I did it in New Horizons instead

I worked yesterday evening but got home in time for the last half-hour of the New Year countdown on ACNH! I thought it was really cute. I'm also working this evening so I'm not doing much for New Year's Day.

I spent New Years at home with my family, which is tbh what I usually do anyway. This year I made a curry for dinner and me and my mum watched comedy shows together until midnight. I didn't feel like having alcohol so I just stuck with drinking water all night.

I spent yesterday cleaning, cooking, and playing animal crossing. The countdown was super cute ☺ Today I will probably call my mom to wish her a happy new year.

I just chilled with family, ate some sweets, talked to some friends online, and played animal crossing. It was a nice relaxing day today.
