What are the regular trees in ACNL?

Just back. Since, the woods are open, why not talk about trees? Yes, I'm that boring.

So, I've literally seen debates on what the normal tree is. If you don't know what it looks like...look up at the title of the forum. So, most people say it's an oak tree. I guess this is true, if it is deciduous. Some people say they are a special evergreen oak as they never lose their leaves. I've seen some people counter this by saying it does not stay green from September 16 to January 16. Okay?

Then I see this, people say they are cherry blossom trees. They are blooming pink in April and turn to orange at autumn. I can kinda get that.

Just not sure about what they are. :3

I have only heard people call them oaks, but once their colors start changing, that gets lost.
They could be dogwoods? Or something similar. Those are green but bloom into white or pink in Spring.
But the ones in game also turn yellowy..... So not sure.

Hm, that's a good question actually, never thought about it. I would say it's either a Oak tree or a Cherry
Blossom Tree.

I'm not entirely sure what they are too. I would say oak, but they do change color, so possibly not oak? Maybe they are most likely cherry blossom trees? Who knows? I personally think they are some sort of special tree that doesn't exist, sorta of a tree that only exists in Animal Crossing. Maybe we should call it the "crossing tree"?
