What are the origins of your town name

I named my town Kanto, after the first region in Pokemon. If I ever make a second town it'll be named after my favorite region, Johto. My town tune is from Zelda though... I didn't think things all the way through.

Rosedale, which happens to be really common for town names for some odd reason, is the name of the street in where I live. 100% originality.

My current town, Endicott, is based off one of my favorite songs of the same title. The song is about a seemingly perfect man/father/husband, so Endicott would be a **seemingly** perfect, friendly and inviting town/vacation spot (;))

Weird song, weird mayor.

My town name is Arendell, I'm the worst at naming anything and I saw frozen in theaters not too long before getting new leaf.

It's named after a pairing I cared about in 2013 when I started. I'm kind of embarrassed by it now, but I think it's not readily apparent that it's a pairing name. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

My town is called Eeville. I named it after Eevee, the pokemon, and kinda wanted it to be pronounced like Evie-ville but somehow it just ended up sounding like Evil lol

i named mine bluebell due to me and my granny walking through a forest every time i saw her called 'bluebell walkway' i miss her a lot so i though to name it after her :P

My town name is Chocola. When I first restaeted my town, I wanted to have a candy town. So I mixed chocolate and cola together and Thats what I got.

I have two towns!

My first, and most complete is Lyssiria. This comes from a fantasy world my friend and I created, this was the country of most of the setting, and we were creating it through our own Minecraft server. I love the way it sounds (la-SEER-ee-ah).

My second town is Ivy Isle because I wanted something fresh, and my plan for this map was lots and lots of green. I'm still in a major developing stage but it's coming along smoothly. I like the way this also flows off the tongue, and the maps in AC:NL are mostly peninsula-like, along with tourism to an island sooo... Yeah :)

My town's name is Egg. What can I say.... I honestly did not expect to get so into the game. It's gonna be hard getting people to take my town seriously now! I honestly chose it because of an inside joke.

Virmire is the name of one of the major plot point worlds in Mass Effect, and one of the game's turning point missions. It was one of my favorite worlds because of the scenery there, and one of my favorite (if not one of the most heartbreaking) missions in the game because of the decisions you're forced to make that have ramifications through the entire series. It also follows the 'theme' of my original town's name.

Horizon, before its cart was lost, is named after another mission and world from the Mass Effect series, this time Mass Effect 2. Horizon is the halfway-ish point of ME2, and like Virmire, has potentially heartbreaking scenes depending on your choices so far in ME1 and the first half of ME2.

Ylisse is my cycling town, and it's named after the main country in Fire Emblem: Awakening, complete with Mayor Lucina. FE: A is my favorite game of the series so far.

I got introduced to ACNL by a girl playing ACNL on youtube. When I watched her, I fell in love with ACNL and I saved up money to buy a 3ds and a game. She named her town Topaz, after a gem. So I named my town Sapphire, after a gem

Eplepai = Apple pie stuck in google translate and translated into Norweigen (I know. it's not accurate)

I named my town Lowell since i was born there and i would use it for Wild World, and now i just regret it.
