I thought it would be fun to discuss the video games we want to exist, but have not been announced or confirmed. This is meant to mainly be based on video games that already do exist. For example, since New Horizons is basically "Animal Crossing 5", "Animal Crossing 6" will definitely be included in my list.

Animal Crossing 6
Let's start with my most obvious choice. I think all of us have been looking forward to AC6 for a couple of years now. The ACNH 3.0 Update is nice and all, but I am ready for something NEW, something innovative. Something that holds up to the late-2020s. There is a LOT that could be discussed here, so I will just say that I hope we get new features, new fruits, new flowers, a sense of starting from scratch like in NH--but a sense of long-term progression like in NL. I would also love a variety of villager interactions, new personalities, and new species. I will close this off by saying I would stronger villager personalities. I don't necessarily want my villagers to be over-the-top rude to me for no reason (especially after having a high friendship). However, I would love to see dialogue based on how well (or badly) we treat a villager. And even for cranky villagers to start off as slightly rude or cold at first.

Miitopia 2
I feel in love with Miitopia back in the Summer of 2021 when the Switch remake came out. I was hyper-fixated on this game for almost two years straight. I originally gave this game a try because I love video game where you can add yourself and pretty much whoever the heck you want. However, I eventually found more reasons to love this game, and one of them is the unique personalities and their quirks. I don't play many fighting games, but playing Miitopia is very satisfying. I would love the next game to be longer, more in-depth. I want the same personalities and jobs from the original Miitopia and its remake. However, I would also love new personalities and jobs, along with some new skills for already existing jobs and some new quirks for already existing personalities (e.g. 'Kind' miis could restore extra HP/MP for their teammates). I also think job levels should be bumped up from 50 to 100. The 999 damage cap should be removed, but in exchange for harder monsters.

The Sims 5
This is probably the least probable thing on my list, but I would love to finally get The Sims 5 later on down the road. Sims in TS4 were a lot more emotional than in 1-3, but Sims 3 peaked in terms of Sim creation and interior decorating. TS5 should take these two things in put them in the same game, along with adding some new, innovative features. This is similar to what I say about the Animal Crossing franchise. New Leaf peaked in its own ways, while New Horizons peaked in other ways. The same goes for TS3 and TS4. I think developers in general should take note of the best features across multiple games in a franchise they have made, and then use them to make future games (along with adding new features to said games).

Papa's Burgeria Deluxe
If you are familiar with Flipline Studios and the "Papa's games" you are likely to agree with this one. Starting in 2023, Flipline Studios started to bring their games to Steam. First, they did Freezeria Deluxe. Then Pizzeria Deluxe in 2024. Both of them are games from way earlier on. I want all of the other gamerias to get deluxe versions, but Burgeria is now the most outdated game, so I am hoping it is next.

More Story of Seasons Remakes
I really enjoy the Story of Seasons games, and if you are familiar with them, you would know that they are remaking old games that were under the 'Harvest Moon' title. My favorite games under the 'Harvest Moon' title (prior to the split between Natsume and Marvelous) are:
- Magical Melody
- Tree of Tranquility
- Animal Parade
- Island of Happiness
- Sunshine Islands
- A New Beginning
^ So, I am hoping these all get remade eventually.

PaRappa the Rapper 3 would be sick. That franchise is the only Sony property that I still like, and it's long overdue for a new entry.

I also miss Pokémon Rumble, I remember the mindless button-mashing fun I had with the games. 💔 The latest entry was on mobile but it has been discontinued, and I’d love to see a new entry to make up for that loss.

If this thread were made earlier I’d have much more to say, but a lot of the games I wished for in the past have now become reality (Rhythm Heaven Groove, Living the Dream, Pokopia, etc.) So there’s that!

I haven’t finished the game yet, but I doubt a sequel would happen. While I do enjoy Miitopia, it’s fine enough as a single game. Unless there’s a cliffhanger at the end, which I’ll have to figure out when I get to playing again so I don’t get spoiled online.

A new Twisted Metal game! Driving fast cars in open arenas and launching all kinds of missiles and strange and spectacular attacks at other cars trying to do the same to you??? Yeah... its time for a new one! I cant believe it hasn't happened since there is/was a live action series made based on Twisted Metal!

Lol yeah, that'd be really cool! I love watching my dad play Twisted Metal, even though it looks really difficult! It's really satisfying in my opinion, especially during bosses! it makes me happy to see someone agrees that the franchise is overdue on a new game.

Left 4 Dead 3 would be sooooo nice to play. I love playing through the two games and wish there was a third one coming out. Vigilante 8 would be nice to play on the modern consoles but updated to have more things added to it. And I'd like a new Star Fox to come out and revive the franchise as it's been so long since we last had their games.

Elite Beat Agents 2. It was a spinoff to a Japanese only rhythm game series that later inspired the popular game Osu. The game was filled with personality and creative stories for each song. The game suffered from a short track list, though, and never got any form of sequel due to mediocre sales. I found interviews saying the director was interested in making another entry, but it’s been 20 years since the release of Elite Beat Agents and the team has long since moved on.

Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns remake. This game was a hidden gem for the 3DS that didn’t receive much attention because it released very late into the 3DS’ lifespan (and right around the Switch’s launch iirc). It’s a shame since the game had an interesting and diverse cast of characters and very enjoyable farming. Many games in the genre suffer from the core farming feeling tedious, but here it was short and streamlined. The only thing holding it back was the fact it’s stuck on an old console and the graphics are hard to look at aside from the character portraits. A remake for newer consoles and PCs could give the game the second shot it deserves. The game doesn’t use the touch screen at all aside from showing the map, so I think remaking it wouldn’t be too difficult.

Pokemon Conquest 2. A Pokemon strategy game was such a great concept and the one game this spinoff series got felt like it was scratching the surface. I’d love to see a newer take on this game with fairy types, mega evolutions, and the hundreds of Pokemon that have been made since the original released during Gen 5.

This isn't about any existing series, but I would love to see some good quality game heavily inspired by Animal Crossing. But with one time payment, without any microtransactions or gacha mechanics - this is crazy important to me.

As a similar example I will give Palworld. I had been tired with the quality of last few main Pokemon games but at the same time I wasn't really interested much in any Pokemon clone games. Until I played Palworld. Without going into a mini review, I just want to say that I enjoyed this game so much and I had waaay more fun than I initially expected. And I strongly preferred it over those last few Pokemon games that I mentioned.

I've been wondering why there isn't any high quality Animal Crossing clone yet, and of course I have some thoughts on the topic. But don't get me wrong, I love Animal Crossing so much! I will surely buy and play the next game, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. There are few games coming out soon with vibe close to AC that look really nice, but they will have microtransactions and that automatically crosses them out from my list of interest, sadly. So I hope to see a similar game one day, but without all this frustrating and anti consumer mechanics.

omgomg I've always wanted to express a type of game I wish existed.
Slightly similar to some already been done, because the game I wish we had focuses on post apocalypse world; which I know is nothing new.

But I really want one where you are the one who is trying to like each place you go try and fix the broken houses, and areas so the area can be a safe haven for groups to live in.
Not just clean things up make re make windows, making buildings so they're are structurlly safe from zombies, bad weather etc.
And if it was to do with zombies and if you don't get rid of all the zombies in the area before bringin in new groups, you have to remake everything again after they cause chaos.

Like in other games we can pick stuff up, but I wish we could do something with some areas.

----------------------------------------

Of course would love a new animal crossing game, but it's a definite gurantee it would only be on the switch 2. And I don't have that. Money wise, interest wise.

-----------------------------------------

I want a Pokemon Legends Celebi game. I think I've said this may times somewhere. But it would be cool if Celebi could bring us to the past, present and future for specific puzzles, lore, pokemon etc
Or something with Jirachi, because I only knew it from the movie, nothing about in the games. Some legendaries never have any proper game lore or focus and it's so sad.

Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns remake

I don't think it will happen anytime soon, if at all, since Marvelous is currently focusing on older games under the "Harvest Moon" name, but boy do I want this to exist. Very badly 😂 I adore this game. Great cast of characters with tons of personality, farming that's simple but really fun and satisfying, AMAZING dialogue (some of it is pleasantly adult!) one of the last games to feature alcohol, super funny and wacky friend events, super cute heart events, and so much more. But as much as I adore it, some QoL improvements would be much appreciated here and there. For example, being able to narrow down recipes based on ingredients. It would be really helpful to select one specific ingredient, like tomato, and be given a list of all food dishes that require tomato. That would make cooking a little less tedious.

Super Mario Galaxy 3

I had hoped for this ever since the announcement of the Switch 1, and I'm still somewhat holding on to that hope, what with Galaxy 1 and 2 being on Switch now. But I think Nintendo has their heads too far up their butts to really consider a Galaxy 3 at this point, but who knows. Maybe if the movie does well enough, they might be convinced, but I highly doubt it.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness DX, or just Explorers DX

With Explorers of Sky content, of course. And brand new content as the cherry on top. I was really happy to see Rescue Team get a remake, but Explorers would really turn heads. They're definitely the more popular games within the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon fandom. It would be absolute hype. But I would be quite sad if Explorers DX were Switch 2 exclusive, because I don't really plan on ever getting a Switch 2, but this and a Trio of Towns remake would be just enough to make me cave in and buy one.

Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie remakes

Both games in one and both getting the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy treatment. And speaking of Spyro...

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly remake

It desperately needs one. It would be amazing if Toys for Bob, the team behind the Reignited Trilogy, remade this game, too. Honestly, it doesn't even have to be a remake of an older title. I would be happy with a completely new Spyro game developed by them. Also, I think Spyro: Season of Ice and Season of Flame remakes ala Reignited Trilogy would be incredible. Very underrated games. And speaking of seasons...

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages remakes

I would LOVE this, especially using the Link's Awakening 2019 remake engine/toy-like art style, but I highly, HIGHLY doubt it would ever happen, seeing as though these games were developed by a team under the ownership of Capcom, much like The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, which is another game I would love to see a remake of.

As sad as I am to say this, I dread to even think about Pokémon Black/White and Black/White 2 remakes. In fact, I don't ever want Gen 5 remakes, because Game Freak will find a way to butcher the absolute **** out of them. Look how they handled the Gen 4 remakes, by letting a whole other studio develop them instead. No hate to the people working at ILCA, though, they were simply doing their jobs, but they did their jobs a little too faithfully, if you ask me lol

An actual Pokémon Legends game

Because ZA ain't it.
