What am I missing? Can’t get past three stars

The evaluation says the island lacks appealing scenery but I’ve placed 101 items around jugs, pots, leaf piles and stone chairs vending machines and a fountain.

Do I need to wait a day for it to update or am I missing something?

I can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it says you need a wide range of different kinds of furniture, just placing multiples of the same thing everywhere won't give you a lot of points. Also I think stuff like flowers, fences and paths go towards appealing scenery as well, so I would recommend adding those if you haven't already.

I think the main things to consider are flowers and fences. I literally had 3 items placed outside when I got my town to 3 stars. But I had a lot of flowers and fences.

I barely had any flowers when I got to three stars, so I think it just be be a combo of a bunch of different factors. Someone got their rating up by just putting 100 tarantulas out, I say just keep trying things until you find something that works!

So I managed to get to 4 stars with some non crafted furniture and fencing so that’s definitely part of the problem I had there’s limits to how far crafted stuff can go
