What am I doing wrong?

I cleaned my town up two days ago got rid if the weeds and everything. There is only 8 things on the ground but my villagers still complain of the cleanliness. What am I doing wrong?!

I'm pretty sure that you cannot leave any stuff on the ground, such as your tools and furnitures.
And maybe the number of flowers you have in your town? (They don't have to be hybrids, just have a whole bunch of normal ones all over your town)

Hmmm I don't have many flowers at the moment... Most of them died... I do have 2 tools on the ground and 6 balloons so idk...

Hmm. I am puzzled too. I had about 9 things on the ground and it did not affect my perfect town status. Is there something else on the ground somewhere? Maybe try picking up everything.

I've looked everywhere.... I never leave baskets of fruits around so I don't know...

I had the same problem.I later realized it was my fruit baskets.I use the fruit as part of my decor.

Just pick the eight items up and go talk to Isabelle. At least that will rule them out, though that sounds like enough to make the villagers mad.

Err try your PWPs, put down ones which are environmentally-friendly (such as the fountain)
