Ooh, tarantula islands are great! So are scorpion ones. The first time I found one I squealed, lol

And, technically, you don't ALWAYS have to sneak for tarantulas/scorpions. The key is just to stop moving when they rear up on their hind legs. If you move AT ALL when they're like that, they attack. But once they do that, you wait until they settle down, then, if you time it right, you can waltz right over and snag 'em JUST as they're about to attack. I find it to be a faster/easier way if you can master it...
...and it leaves me feeling pretty bad-a** to just scoop 'em up Like, "Oh? You're upset? TOO BAD, YOU'RE IN THE NET, NOW!"

You do, and Orville calls his brother like, "Don't worry, turns out they're NOT dead, everything's cool" when you wake up. It's hilarious
