Right now, I am trying to lay down some tile and paths. There are such pretty ones, and they are so beautiful, but I can't get over the following:

1.) When I walk on my brick path, it still sounds like I am on grass (THIS DRIVES ME INSANE)
2.) When I lay a large area of tile, I can see the subtle lines in between if it's a continuing tile
3.) That gap at the train station
4.) My favourite two part wooden path goes up and down, but not left to right ;_;

Anyone else have similar compulsive twitches at little details? My other town, Thistle, is going to be all natural dirt paths, which I think will drive me insane in a totally different way D:

But the sound though. THE SOUND. It messes with me.

I don't lay down many tiles, but I am obsessed with symmetry in my towns so I understand your frustration.

I love paths, to me they make a town prettier. But sadly they don't work perfectly, with the 'gaps' in front of buildings and rocks in the way. I just really wish you could move rocks by pushing them slowly.

The path gaps in front of buildings ALWAYS irritates the snot out of me. I understand it's because it's an entryway and there needs to be that sort of 'buffer' space but still. I'm also irritated that pwps can't go on top of paths. It's totally annoying to have a nice path/pattern laid out only to have a pwp with different colored grass or dirt under it showing.

I think it is so ugly when the buildings have the gap, and same with rocks that cannot be destroyed. It ruins my whole life.
I feel your pain on this. It really sucks and I wish this would be fixed in the next Animal Crossing game :c
I hate those things so much. Same with the sound, I completely agree.

When you're about to go to Main Street, and a train comes and you have to wait for it to pass! Ugh!

THOSE ROCKS ARE LIFE RUINERS *insert that angry animal crossing emotion where steam is coming out of your head*

Exactly the same as the ones you pointed out. Especially the sound that gets made when you're on a 'path'. Argh. Wish they had added something in for that.
Also, when I'm trying to put a path by a river/cliff/pond....and it won't fit!! It hangs over the edge and I can't stand it so I have to alter all my plans to work around it....gah

I planted a little hedge of bushes in front of the buildings to hide "the gap". It makes me happy.
I planted a little pink flower garden around a rock that would have intersected my path and then put the path around it in a square.
My path needs 12 tiles to get the inside corners to match.
My favorite villager put their house in a HORRIBLE spot.
Spawning of fossils, mushrooms, gyroids, unwanted flowers...drive me nuts. I shouldn't have to walk around with a shovel.

I can relate SO much to the thing when you're walking on a path and it still sounds like your walking on grass, or now - on snow!! It drives me nuts!!!

everything you listed does bother me to a degree, but i can deal with it. honestly, the thing that annoys me the most is when you're putting down paths near a cliff or a body of water and there's that corner that just sticks out over the water or cliff :/

That one square you can't place a pattern over in front of buildings/houses.
When your path sticks out over the edge of the cliff or river! This is the worst!

THE SOUND oMG it drives me insane too! I have brick paths and it sounds like grass... Oh man. And the gap of the paths in front of buildings.. WHY.. Also that trees and bushes and stuff can't be planted next to a rock?? I think that's really dumb.. also right next to a river or pond.

i agree with everything posted here, but rocks & the gap in front of buildings especially. the gap makes it so hard for paths to look realistic and it kills me. rocks are just horrible overall, not only can they not be moved but you could have an absolutely perfect map, but then find out its got tons of rocks in the worst spots. I ended up resetting one of my towns for that reason alone.

When you enter in a shop/house/building etc. and you're carrying a tool and have to wait a little longer to get inside because you have to put the tool away. >:(
