Weird Rafflesia??

Back in my old town of Startown, i did a lot of cycling and had about 600 weeds at one point, and I never got the Rafflesia. Today in my about two week old town of Moonview, I discover a rafflesia. I hardly have any weeds in my town, like 10 or so! Leif isn't even in town saying weeds must be pulled! What kind of sorcery is this?!
Is this a glitch? Or does the Rafflesia mean more than just weeds, it just means your town is at the worst state? Because i have no trees and hardly any flowers.
Please help!

It could mean you do have not alot of pwp's or trees

I think it`s because you have no trees, just plant some trees and the rafflesia will disappear soon.

I do have no trees, because a landscaping guide told me to cut down all my trees to make PWP placing, pathing etc easier.

Hmm good to know. I recently had an unexplained rafflesia too.

I read that rafflesia only appear when your town is bare and isn't very tidy? So no trees, very few pwps and a lot of garbage make it appear. When your town is more developed it should disappear as from what I've heard they only appear in underdeveloped towns.

A really fast way to get rid of it would be to place a pwp or house on top of it and it'll disappear like other foliage. Since the town is still new but kinda past the "tutorial" stage, the town probably registers it as being too underdeveloped for two weeks of play? I'm not sure, but it probably does have to do with having no trees and few pwp like others have said. Good luck with landscaping though!
