Weird little question about the order new recipes show up in?

So I get that when you have new recipes they show up at the start of the list regardless, the first time you click on it. However I noticed that I had it sorted by series, and had three new recipes, but the most recent one I'd just got showed up second. When I switched it to order obtained it showed up first - is this maybe because it sorts the new recipes by set as well, not just by how new they are? Hope this makes sense don't even ask why this matters to me lol (hint, it's because I'm crazy)

I've noticed this as well, and it's annoying! I panicked because in 'seasonal DIYs' some of my shell recipes were missing but they showed up in 'all'. I presume it is because they were acquired later but yeah, weird...
