Hi, I usually post on the ACC Forums, but thought I would try to get feedback here as well.

I just had someone come to my town to buy Lolly. Everything appeared to go smoothly. Bells were exchanged, Lolly agreed to move, other player left town and the game saved.

However, the other player PTed me that Lolly never arrived in her town, even though she TTed day by day several days forward. In my town the following day, Lolly's house is gone and I have a letter stated she moved. So what is going on?

Is this some kind of weird glitch? Does anyone have any experience of this happening?

Please, any help would be appreciated.

From the other thread:

That's unfortunate. :/

Did the game save okay when they left your town? No wi-fi issues?
Was there anyone else in town? Or just the two of you?
Is it possible the other person had someone moving in already or did they invite more than one villager that day?
When they left did the sign on Lolly's door say moved out?

Yes the game saved when the player left.
The only wifi issue was an error I got when i flipped wifi off, but that was several minutes after the player left when I was depositing bells at my ATM. This happens to me frequently and has never been a problem.
Only the two of us in town.
I don't know if the other player was attempting to move in more than one villager. I didn't even think this was possible, but I can ask.

No, her sign did not say moved, which was strange. It was late at night after midnight, and her sign just said she was sleeping. Will villagers lock their door to sleep while in boxes? I've never heard of that.

How many days did pass? I had it once it took around 10 days fro the plot to appear..

So far, she's TTed day by day 5 days forward. Do you remember the circumstances for you when it took 10 days?

So the only other thing I can think of is the person who picked up was at 8 villager in their town. I found this out when cycling. I had to do the new save file then save that person and delete. Then go another day I'm assuming (bc I TT year by year) and then the plot would show up. on the second new save file.

If Lolly said she would move to the player's town her sign should have said "moved" . Did the player have Lolly in the past? She might need to do 16 villager cycling before she can get Lolly again. If she had a villager in boxes in her town that would also delay the move in date of Lolly. If the mayor asks more than 1 villager to move in the same day, only the last one moves in. I'm guessing that the player needs to do 16 villager cycling before Lolly can move in. The player was probably so excited that they didn't notice that Lolly didn't say she would move to their town. I had a villager (Tom) talk about packing and only about packing to me because I hadn't completed 16 villager cycling. A player may be able to get Lolly from your void though. Good luck!

Thanks Faerie. I'll c&p your method and pass it on to the player.

Does anyone know why Lolly's house said "sleeping" instead of "moved out" after the player left town? Does that show that the move couldn't occur, even though Lolly supposedly agreed?

If it says sleeping she never moved out. If you TT back in time to about the time in game when he/she picked up lolly they should be able to get her bc she never moved out. It needs to say moved out. Seems to me if she agreed to go it didn't save on either end bc it says sleeping.

It does sound like she didn't move if her sign said "sleeping". Unfortunately if it's already the next day and her house is gone, it means she's been voided :c maybe they can try visiting you again to see if they get her via wifi?

Too late for that unfortunately, as I already loaded the game the following morning.

The game definitely said it saved on my end when the player left on the train. What time does Lolly (normals) normally go to sleep. And will villagers lock up and go to bed when they are in boxes? I wouldn't think that was possible? It was right before midnight when the player came to talk to Lolly, and about 15 minutes past when I checked her house and noticed it didn't say "moved".

Normals go to bed at midnight. I don't know what happened, but I suppose Lolly just didn't move. =/ I usually end session, I don't let people use the train just in case. But yeah... Suppose she just went to your void, then.

What I meant was- if lolly has been voided, she'll be in your void pool, and if the buyer visits you now, they may still pick lolly up from the void. Worth a try maybe? Good luck!

It can take FOREVER!
When I got Wendy I had to TT about 2 months forward for her plot to show up it was ridiculous,
and I was so freaked out. D:

Huh, but I do remember seeing a thread not too long ago that I think confirmed that they'll still have the sleeping sign even when they've moved out.. Going to try to find it now!

Well, I couldn't find it, unfortunately.. This person had the same problem but didn't reply whether or not it got solved.. Maybe you can PM her to ask if the other person did get the villager? Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

That's what i was wondering - whether the sleeping sign goes up by default after bedtime - whether the villager moved out or not.

I will try and have the player back to my town to see if she can pick up Lolly via the void pool. She says that she only has 9 villagers and has never had Lolly in her town before, so this is really a mystery.

Here's the update. Lolly's plot FINALLY showed up in the player's town 8 days later! Not sure what caused this weird glitch, but I'm relieved Lolly finally showed. :)
