Weird Flower Glitch?

I was planting some purple roses. Then Stitches came by and right when I planted my purple rose, he planted a yellow rose and just destroyed my purple one! Then when I walked across the yellow rose, it flashed with the purple rose sprite. So whenever I walked over it, a purple rose would appear then disappear. And when I pick up the yellow rose and drop it again, it goes back to being a normal yellow rose.

I restarted though so the purple rose is safe. xD

It's happened to me a few times. Not with hybrids luckily, but it's annoying as hell regardless.

That's a very weird glitch, I don't recall that anyone else has posted about a glitch like that...

...nor am I willing to test it, I'm not sacrificing my hybrids.

Well, I guess it is possible with any different flower types. That's funny though, I have never experienced glitches- even when I try- but I'm glad you got the purple rose back. And that Stitches is still in your town, lol!

I've seen somebody post about this before, it would sound like a scary glitch if it were to happen to me. But not yet it didn't.

I remember something like that happened to me, except the flower that was placed over the other flower just phased out and the original color remained.

Basically, you and stiches planted a flower at the same time, so the game thought that it was yellow and purple.

I've seen it posted about before, player & villager planting a flower in same space at the same time.

I've heard of another scenario which is more worrying - but I've no verification and I've only seen it mentioned once (sorry never kept a note of the thread or board it was on):
An item left on the ground next to flowers, disappeared, being replaced by a flower (ie a villager planted a flower on top of a dropped item).
I'm hoping this is not possible, but just in case, I try to keep my spare items on the plaza/train station/R-tail areas.

Wow, that would suck so much. I also heard of a case where villagers replace your flowers if you have no space in your town for villagers to plant flowers. 0.0
