Weed Hunter badges guide?

For my new town, I want to be able to get all badges from Phineas. I want to be able to get the weed badges out of the way so it's easier for me to get perfect town status and get all of the other badges. I've never really gotten this badge though (only once in a super old town), so i'm not sure if there are any tips or tricks out there. Any ideas?

Might want to keep an eye out who offer weeding services. I used to join them back in the end and ended up getting my wedding badges this way.

The fastest and easiest way would definitely be to go to another town that provides weeding services. I used my own spare town to do this and it helped tremendously.

However, if you want to do it in your own town, here are a few suggestions:

- Make sure Beautiful Town Ordinance is off. If it is on, it will greatly decrease the amount of weeds that spawn. So switch to another ordinance while you work on this badge.

- Bring in a bunch of common flowers from the island. You can gather them while doing island tours. Plant them in your town and do not water them. When they are wilted (appear gray in color), pluck them and they will count as weeds. This is another reason you don't want the Beautiful Town Ordinance.

- Buy the flower seeds from Leif daily and plant them in your town. Let them wilt and pluck them as stated above. Planting the flower seeds will also help you to obtain the gardening badge.

- Time travelling is your friend in this situation. If you want to spawn a lot of weeds quickly and you aren't afraid of losing villagers, use time travelling to your advantage. I found that jumping ahead a huge amount of time, like a whole year, didn't spawn as many weeds as I thought it would. I found it best to jump ahead a month at a time to get the most weeds to spawn. You can do this as many times as you like before stopping to pluck weeds.

- If Leif's shop is open and you have enough weeds, he'll appear somewhere near your house. Talk to him and he'll tell you exactly how many weeds you have and you can play a weeding game to get pieces from the Weeding Day furniture set.

Good luck! It takes a lot of weeds to get to the gold badge, but if you keep at it, I'm sure you'll get there.

That was one set of badges I wasn't able to get.

I rarely visited other towns unless it was to trade, and I had the Beautiful Town Ordinance in place.

I was actually able to get the bronze badge through visiting other towns and TT'ing a few times so that's neat!

Lucky clovers also count. I was missing a few weeds to get my badge so I picked up the same lucky clovers over and over until I get it. Might be an hassle though since we get the dialog box each time.
