Ugh, they're super annoying.
I hate it when people describe me as a 'weeaboo', because I'm really not. There's a difference between LIKING anime and wanting to have everything to do with Japan.
I don't want to learn Japanese,
I don't think being an 'otaku' is cool,
And I don't want to cosplay, go to conventions, and go to Japan so badly.
Weeaboos are just... ugh. I fully agree with you on that, trust me. I always have encounters with them, and it's freaking annoying. Like they think they know everything about that anime when they've only actually seen 3 episodes, and so on.
Also, I think it's exceptionally annoying that they try so hard to speak Japanese, and pepper their sentences with Japanese words. Like, my rule is: If you can't speak enough that you can't form a complete sentence that consists of actual conversation, then don't use it at all.
And they ONLY eat Japanese food, ONLY wear anime merch, and so on. It bugs the living crap out of me.
So yeah, I could go on about what my thoughts on weeaboos are, but I'm not because it would be really really long.

Sadly, some people don't know the difference between a weeaboo and an anime fan. You're right about not everyone knowing exactly what a weeaboo really is and that leads to issues as well.

One of my friends is such a dedicated weeaboo, she thought trick me into thinking she's of Japanese decent for like 6 years. Just last year did she admit it's all a lie and she just loves anime. Weebs and people who like anime don't bother me, but obsessions aren't healthy, no matter what they're about.
