Technically this is similar to the plot and campsite resetting, but it allow us to determine which villager will live in our town rather than just deciding the plot where our new neighbour will be.

First, create a new player character, set him/her with Rover and then stroll around the town till you find a construction site.

Check the signpost to learn the name and if it's not the villager which you want, then quit without registering the new player.

After that, try again to see if you can get a villager of your interest.

I managed to get Snake with that trick.

so this is just plot resetting but instead of changing the spot its the villager? so basically not plot resetting i guess lol

yeah i noticed that too when i was plot resetting to get the villager to a nice spot, each time i started over the villager who was moving changed. ended up with tammy and julian that way
