Ways to stop the pain from braces?

My braces hurt like damn hell. Its only one tooth but.... It hurts even if I eat soup. D:

EDIT: Now I have to wear 3 rubber bands. ._. 2 in the back. And one across my whole mouth.

try focusing on something else and youll probably forget about it. Try singing or try trying to beat a level you cant do on your ds/wii/xbox etc etc

They gave me this wax.... But its suppose to stop the hooks from poking.

There is no way to actually stop them from hurting. I took a few tylenols, but thats it. You just have to deal with it for now.
@megamanntt: Giving you something to chew wouldn't work out that well, because I remember I couldn't eat anything solid because my teeth hurt so much.

Ya, the reason it hurts so much, is that it literally is slowly moving your teeth into position.

When i had braces and my teeth would hurt i would bite down hard until it hurt way more, and then it would feel numb
