Ways to avoid corruption

all this did was cause me to be more stressed out about corruption, despite the fact that i only save without quitting a lot. i guess it's a good thing i have a digital copy? i don't know. i don't knooow.

Digital copy randomly corrupts alot (aka the eshop version) If you have the one with the game card, then its the physical copy.

BTW!!
If you are messing with the SD card, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT DELETE THE FILE NAMED NINTENDO 3DS. DOING SO WILL CORRUPT YOUR ANIMAL CROSSING AND MIGHT EVEN CORRUPT PART OF YOUR 3DS!!

thanks for listening :3

2 and 4 are not confirmed, 2 is even disproved my Nintendo themselves as somebody mailed them about it. Concerning 4, too many people are doing it too often with no issues so it's also a rumour.

The second way to avoid corruption had been proven incorrect before, I believe. The second option does not corrupt your town.
That just made me think... has anyone actually lost there game by dumping? Most say it does, but I have yet to find someone of the internet that has.

I actually reset without saving quite a bit, but thankfully the game hasn't corrupted on me yet.
^
I have done this countless times.

I'm not sure what you mean by a lot, but in my 480+ hours of plot resetting, duping (Hahahaha. I remember when there were waves of complaints.) and TTing, my game has not corrupt once.

A better way to avoid corruption is to BACKUP YOUR SAVE.
I do that with the SD card, but remember the game can reject a past save.

It's impossible to backup Animal Crossing New Leaf on the 3DS.

I TT, and close the game without saving many times. I've played over 2000 hours. I have the digital version.

True. But that was just for the users that have hacking devices. They can backup their saves using a cheat device and it won't reject it.

It can't corrupt with the second option, that's why doing so will not corrupt the file. I've read a reply from Nintendo on another forum confirming it doesn't corrupt. People may just be spreading rumors to scare people.

That's possible?! o_O

It seems like digital versions are the ones that have the large majority of these corruptions issues. Good thing I don't buy important games in digital forms.

6. Don't buy digital versions.

My friends have carts and they have corrupted a few times. I'm not sure why.
Me on the other hand, not once and I have the digital like I said. Digital is more handy than a cart to me.

It really only happens to digital if you mess around with the SD card or saving. I think it's safer to change to a different SD card rather than using the cheap ones that are already in a 3ds.

Yes.
I also use a high quality 16GB SD card worth $100.

So um
"Ways to avoid corruption"
Is it wrong that I thought this was going to be a thread about ways to avoid, I don't know, becoming a power-obsessed mayor or something. Or how not to abuse your position in the real world, assuming you're in good standing somewhere.

Anyways,
I don't actually have anything to contribute here. I was going to try, but it seems like a waste to repeat what other people have said. Sometimes I get a little heart attack when I accidentally pop my cartridge out though.
Does this count as contribution? (I do that with every game. Scary business.)

OMG haha laughing at this

If my game got corrupted I'd seriously die. It would take me a long while for me to start playing again...
