No, my first game was Wild World. I think it isn't especially well-loved now, but I still think it had the best soundtrack of all the AC games I've played!
My first was WW in October of 2006. The acorn festival started two days after I did, and I still get all warm and fuzzy thinking about dear old Cornimer!
No. First was gamecube. I've played all AC full and spin off games. Pocket Camp was the least played. It took forever to load on the tablet or error out.
Yes it’s my first Animal Crossing game. Just in love with it.
I understand from lots of people here that there may be less content and things to do compared to previous games but I guess I’m lucky in that sense as anything beyond what we got as the base game is just a big bonus for me!
NH is my first Ac game because I only played pocket camp just past the tutorial and wasn’t that impressed. My hubby got NH on his switch because a coworker recommended it. It looked fun so I got it on my switch. I love it. I do wish I could’ve experienced some of the other games but hopefully NH will get some of the same features.
no, mine was acww. i wonder what impression people who've only played acnh have on the franchise? playing ac used to be considered childish or cringey by the kids in my middle school, it's interesting to see how that's changed
I feel like a loser saying this but yes it was. As a kid I didn't have any video game systems and was never on the internet so I didn't know of its existence until now! I'm enjoying myself playing it tho
Yes, NH is my first Animal Crossing game! I grew up with parents that aren’t fond of video games, so I wasn’t allowed to own most game systems. The Switch was the first one I purchased myself, so I got to choose what games I wanted
Nope. Started with Wild World back in 2011ish, played City Folk for a little bit right after, bought New Leaf in 2016 and was hooked on that for a few years, and now I'm here! This one's definitely been my favorite of the bunch.
Yes! I don’t know how I never knew about the other games, because I feel like it combines exactly the things I’ve always wanted in a game. I love the crafting and the collecting and finding cute villagers and building up the friendships with the villagers, and playing dress up, and earning money. Honestly, I am tempted to go back and play the old games, because I love Nh so much, but I don’t think I could handle the graphics downgrade (it would be one for me at least), and I’d miss things like fishing. I’ve tried to play pocket camp a little, but haven’t been able to get into it, don’t like the mechanics or the look as much. I think nh is surprisingly gorgeous. Anyway, so yes, new to the franchise but not just drifting through.
