Just to make sure :)

I gave my voided villager to someone who wanted it, but I want to make sure that means my void is empty now

Yes, your void is empty now. :) If you void a villager without having let them be adopted out, they'll stay in your void. A way to clear your void in that instance would be to visit a town that has 10 villagers. I'm not sure how it works, but it does!

Thanks, I guess that makes sense :P It would be strange if villagers could duplicated while in the void, but I just wanted to make sure ^_^

If you only moved out that villager without having them adopted by anyone, then yes they went into the void. Depending on how many villagers you had move out though, there may be more than one villager in your void. Villagers usually dissapear from the void after 30 days (not sure though, I just read that somewhere.) Usually the person who is in the most recent void is who that person will get. Think of it this way, there's a void of about three villagers that you have and you recently voided a forth. That villager will go to the front of the line in the void, meaning if somebody comes to your town they will get that recent void. So hopefully you don't have anybody else in your void, or somebody else has visited before letting them come pick that villager up from your void. Your void will only be empty if you visit somebody with 10 villagers. This "clears" your void. Or if they're your first move-out, they will be the only villager in your void so if somebody picks them up your void will be empty.

But yeah, voided villagers can only be adopted once. It'd be weird if there was duplicates LOL. Although, in a way there is duplicates of villagers since some people can have the same villager(s) as you. Imagine if certain villagers were exclusive to certain copies.
