I've been doing lots of trades lately, and was wondering if that could screw things up when a villager from my town ends up moving out. I heard something about voided villagers having the ability to move in the very next day after a villager moves out- is that true? I've been saving up Nook Miles and wanna grind out a good villager, and not have some potentially-glitched rando show up instead.

The glitch is generally triggered by online play. If you have an empty plot and you're trading with people, there's a chance of you running into problems like that, yes.

So what I'm getting from this is that if I visit someone's town with a villager in their void, then have an empty plot withing the next three days that villager might move in, correct? Would visiting another town with 10 villagers clear out any villagers I've picked up into my void? Or could I prevent this villager from moving in by inviting a Nook Miles villager before then?
