Does New Horizons have "void clearing" like New Leaf?

Meaning, if you void a villager there is the possibility when you visit someone who has an open plot, they will take it UNLESS you first visited someone with a full town. Visiting the full town cleared your void so you no longer worried about dropping off an unwanted passenger when you visited.

Here is my delima:
I have an amiibo (kabuki <3) that I want to invite, but I trade or host events fairly often. I dont want to accidentally deposit a glitched villager on someone. =/

No idea. I visited my friend's full town multiple times, but the moment she got an empty slot in her town, my Dom moved in from the Shadow Realm.

Gah. That is troublesome. T^T
I guess I'll have to continue waiting til (hopefully) a patch comes and fixes it. I dont want to mess up anyone's island with a glitched plot.

Do you know if it's the moment they/you get an open plot, or do they have like a day to go and invite/adopt someone before the void move in happens?

I've been at 10 villagers for a while, but have had lots of my friends visit, some with recent move outs...

EDIT: Thanks! I had thought that we had a day, but wasn't so sure lately because my friends have been having a lot of voided villagers move in from each others towns lol

They move in the very next day if the person had an empty slot.

I had Gladys move out, and today was the first day her plot would be free and I've visited other players prior and no one from their town moved into her plot, so I don't think voided villagers are 'remembered' until a plot is open.

I did a lot of online trading before my Katt moved out... and some after she moved out and her plot was open. I luckily didnt pick up a void. But did get a rando move in the 2nd day of being open. (I wanted to island hunt more.)

I FINALLY had someone else say today they wanted to more (16 days after katts plot was empty?) And of course the literal only villager I wanted to keep was the one who wanted to move. Lol

Since someone else wont want to move another couple weeks I was just going to invite my amiibo villager tonight (already completed 2 items for them). But I really dont want to quarantine my island to prevent passing the possibly glitched villager to someone.

Guess I COULD make a thread asking if anyone wants to adopt the boxed villager with warnings that it was an amiibo kick out? Its not guaranteed to glitch and if someone wants to run the risk knowing it could happen, itll keep me from having a voided villager. ^^;

Just a tip, next time someone has the bubble and you dont want them to leave, dont talk to them, just ignore them and the next day someone else will be thinking of moving.

Ahhhhhhhh def did not know. I thought it would stay the same villager til you told them yes or no ^^;

You can also do the Tom Nook get the house move kit then return it to Nook trick. Haven't tried it myself, but apparently it makes it so that the villager won't want to move away, and it will be a different one wanting to move tomorrow

I've never heard of this being a thing? Is there definitive proof this works?
