Villigers and their NH Models

Not a fan of Lobo's new design, the colour is too vibrant and his eyes are smaller, which kinda loses his uniqueness.

I do think Biff looks a lot better though, and I think there's more I prefer in NH than other games. Annalise, Merry, Del to name a few.

There are a lot of subtle changes which I really like. As one mentioned before Phoebe is looking a lot better with the smaller mouth

But also the color- and the materialchanges has done a lot. Stitches was made from some reflective material or looks like plastic in the older games. Now he really has the soft fabric which makes him look a lot more like a stitched up teddybear.

I like most of the redesigns, except for Lobo. I'm not a fan of his new purple color and thought his faded navy blue color better suited his cranky/old man personality.

edit: Also forgot to say overall I like how they gave all villagers a new texture, it makes them look more "real" and less plastic and toy like, and matches the current graphics well

NH models are far better than the old ones, mainly because almost everyone in NL wore some sort of zig-zag/striped clothing that absolutely did not flatter them. Now, with doubled clothing options, all of the villagers' initial clothing looks great

I really like how shiny the top of Zucker's head is now he looks more food-like. I also like how the Octopus's mouths move when they talk/sing it looks funny.

I'm really happy how a lot of the villagers got better looks thanks to the Nintendo Switch hardware. I generally find that the kangaroos had their colours popped out more where in the previous games, it seemed to be held back with a slightly greyer tone.

Though I really like to mention the superhero villagers, Kid Cat, Agent S, Big Top, and Rocket. The four of them really look like they wear helmets. The models may say otherwise but the lighting in this game makes it believable that they do.

I also want to mention Sterling. His model looks like he actually wears his knight helmet. The same applies to the armour on his legs and feet. Oh look, another villager looking at themselves.

everyone's mentioned so many good villagers!! i do think that in general the NH villager models have just had those subtle changes that just make them that bit better. i'm considering more villagers now than I ever have before (which i realise is perhaps a little shallow but what can i say, i'm a sucker for the cute pixel villagers )

I was going to have Lobo on my island until I saw the hideous purple and smaller eyes.

They've ruined him.

I used Fang's amiibo instead because of that.

EVERY villager got a glow up in my opinion but some are still just not my style. I do appreciate villagers like Fuschia, Zucker, Phoebe, and others. Much more than I used to.
