Is there a way to make certain villagers move out?

I'd like to chose those to stay and those to go but I have no clue if its possible.

It is a bit more complicated than this, but if you don't talk to the villagers you want to move after awhile eventually they will move out. Also if you have 10 villagers, and two or more of each type. One of that type will want to move out.

TTing day by day can help, but it's tedious, and it's rather randoml but you can force out the villagers you want to force it out if you do it carefully enough. Is there any way to make a villager of your choice ping at a give time? No.

I had Pietro and I hated him. I kept on whacking him with the net. it took a few days and he asked to go.

But now I have this ugly squirrel, Ricky, he looks mad even when he's happy. I want him gone.

You can hit them with the net or hammer, push them, and even push them in pitfalls (not sure if that actually counts since they don't seem to know who put down the pitfall seed).
Like what Story said, if you don't talk to the villager, then they would want to move out at some time. I think sending a letter with trash 'gifted' in them also works.
Also, Isabelle at the Town Hall could give you options on which villager is giving you trouble, but I think that just makes them more original, like not showing letters or going back to their original catchphrase, I'm not sure but that's what I think what that's there for.

Well, you can choose who leaves and who goes but you can't choose who asks to leave, so if you want a villager out, you'll have to wait until they ask if they should leave. There's no proven way of getting a villager to ask to move out, some people say ignoring a villager will make them ask, others say talking to them a lot will make them ask.

Keep TTing, that's totally the easiest way. I've gotten all my ugly pigs and hamsters out like that xD Sometimes you might be lucky and they want to move out like after a week c:
