So today I decided to buy my son AC for his Lite (he's six by the way), since he's been really interested in watching me play and has been asking if he could have his own copy.
While we're waiting on it to download, I pulled up all of the villagers to show him and he picked out all of the ones he (for now) hopes to have someday! They include:

It's a pretty unique assortment and I was really intrigued by who he was choosing and what he saw in them that he likes, which made me curious to see what villagers other children might pick! If any of you have kids or siblings, what villagers do they like/want/have? And what reasons did they give, if any?
My son really seemed to love the eagles, which was random and interesting. xD
I like his selection! I see he likes sorta cool and cute looking villagers and some funny looking ones interesting to see what everyone's dream villagers are
The villagers he chose are great choices! It's really cool to see the variety your son likes, considering there's a nice mix of really cute and cool ones here
I don't have any children as I'm not at an age where I would be able to care for them but I do have a little 6 year old brother who is obsessed with Animal crossing has a dreamies list which includes:
My three year old loves Hazel, Limberg, and Gaston, and is terrified of the octopi. (???) I let her pick out the villager I invite every day to my campsite for DIY recipes, and they are uh definitely never the most popular villagers.
My nephew (turning eight this month) is super into the game, and asked for Marshal's amiibo card for his birthday! He loves the octopuses, Drago, and a bunch of the frogs as well.
I bought a switch lite for my little sister recently because she played New Leaf until the joystick degraded on my old 3ds LOL
Everytime Id show her my island she looks for Francine and Chrissy (which I say I don't have and she immediately loses interest)
So I shipped (she lives in Germany and I live in Canada) her a switch lite with the games she wanted as well as the amiibos for Francine and Chrissy to get her started
She also really likes Goldie and such since I made her play HHD but nothing beats Francine and Chrissy for her

also, I don't have a younger sibling or child, but maybe it counts that I was obsessed with Merengue, Marina, Ankha and Kiki when I was but a 10 year old lass roughing it in pre-amiibo new leaf?
My sister was in love with Wendy, and when I visited her last she asked to see my town. Unfortunately, since when I saw her last Wendy had already moved out. She was so appalled with me. Like, how could I? She seems really fond of all the sheep villagers.
I don't have kids, but if I showed my 5 and a half year old niece all the villagers, she would no doubt pick Julian immediately and then the rest of her villagers would be horses. She's obsessed with unicorns and horses right now.
