Villagers you had no interest in that changed completely

Have you ever had a villager you originally had 0 interest in, or just didn't know they existed, only to just completely fall in love?

In my case that'd be Sylvana. I was looking for a replacement for Margie because I just couldn't connect with her, so I had a friend with Sylvana's amiibo card invite her over and let me adopt her. It's only been a few days but I just adore her! Her house is so cute, she has such an adorable design and catching her doing yoga with Marshal one morning melted my heart. I gave her a tweed dress and some other things but she ONLY ever wears the tweed dress. It's her favorite. I usually see her out and about carrying a basket near her flower garden.

Awww! I can totally relate, I fell in love with Bea because she looked just like my dog. She very recently passed away so seeing Bea in the mornings makes it just a bit easier

I found Egbert on a mystery island, and he looked a bit worried and very cute in his jumper so I had to invite him to live in my village. He's my favourite villager now!

For me it's Sally, Charlise and Alice. Did not even know who any of them were but I found them all on mystery island tours and I don't want to waste too many NMTs atm so I'm just inviting whichever villagers I find that are at least average looking for now while I focus on decorating my island. I love them all so much now, idk if I will even want to get rid of them later when I start my actual dreamie hunt Dx

this literally happens to me on a daily basis

I was suggesting ideas for villagers to someone the other day and one of the suggestions I came up with was Biskit
apparently it was a really good suggestion because despite the fact that I've never had him in any of my towns and had no interest in him whatsoever I suddenly just had to have him. just from looking at his poster. so I bit the bullet and decided to miss out on a cranky villager so I could have him instead of Static

also, I actively HATED Bella before but now I love her and I think I'm gonna get her in my new leaf street style gang themed town once I get started on that. what a legendary lass

edit: oh and also the person above me's sig reminded me that I also fell in love with Gabi for no reason. she's great too

Hazel's unconventionally cute design has grown on me and Teddy reminds me of Brock from the original Pokemon series; I used to watch it all the time when I was a child.

Nan. I found her on a ticket island while building the three starter houses and invited her because she looked kinda nice and who knows if a random is better. Now she's going to stay forever (after I moved her out to upgrade her home. Even though I have her card it felt horrible to kick her out.)

Yeah, Beau. I thought he was ugly at first(I dislike the color orange), BUT he was soooo sweet and nice...I fell in love with him. He’s still not one of my favorites, but he got to stay in all of my New Leaf towns and if I get him again in NH, I’ll probably keep him again. I like how Erik looks and how much better he suits Deirdre, but Beau is such a sweetheart, he might push Erik out

Peggy.
I had her amiibo card but wasn't familiar with her at all.
Thought she was cute and I like pigs irl so decided to invite her to my campsite one day just to see how she is.
Immediately fell in love and she lives on my Island now.
I think since the pig villagers are not popular at all, it was easy to overlook her.

Bones. He was not even on my radar but I randomly found him on a mystery island. I couldn’t resist him and asked him to move in, and I’m very glad I did!

I also randomly really want to find Maddie now too.

stitches! i didn't really have an opinion on him but i decided to bring him home from a mystery island and he completely stole my heart. he always wears the clothes i give him and calls me burrito

This happens to me with a lot of villagers because though I played NL when it was released, I feel like I didn't really know many villagers going into NH. So many of the villagers I see are still new to me.

However, one that stands out in particular for me is Dom. I saw screenshots of him and have spent most of the past month or so thinking "Well, he's kind of cute, but... eh" but when I got him as a starter on my second island, I became instantly attached. Same with Katt, but Dom especially.

Bruce is the only reason I don't have an all wolf town anymore, why?

Well, back in new leaf my dream was to have an all wolf town and Bruce randomly appeared on my island one day and since he wasn't a wolf I automatically tried to act like he doesn't exist but how could I? He was literally as cute if not cuter than any wolf I wanted to have! I couldn't stop myself from talking to him everyday and showering with gifts and the day he actually asked to leave I decided that he had to stay!

I do have another new leaf copy and I did have an all wolf town there but it did feel like he was missing so I decided to scrap the whole idea of an all wolf town, got Bruce in there and I also got Beau as the only other deer with the remaining 8 being all wolves this is also the case with new horizons now! Bruce is one of my absolute favorite villagers now, he's so cute!

He does get sick a lot on my island though, like dude! This is the fifth time already lol..

Aww! Bruce was a random move in on my second town. I was so disappointed to see that the lot sold because the game didn't give me a chance to get a villager from the Nook Miles Islands. But I absolutely love him and I feel like him moving in was really meant to be! His house is really cool too.

not a complete turn around, but whitney for me. I thought about having her on my island but ultimately chose audie over her and felt I had no regrets, I even sold her to someone at some point without a second thought and ran into her on islands numerous times! when I reset my island I saw someone doing a giveaway for her and decided to grab her, she has now become my favorite villager and I reset my wild world game just to get her there too lol

For me, it's Carrie. While I don't mind the kangaroo villagers, I never really had an favorite. She showed up on my campsite one day and I thought why not inviting her and yeah... She's pretty cool actually and thanks for the fact that she has a child, my playground, which I built behind Nook's Cranny, finally has a reason to exist, lol.
