Villager's wreath disappeared?

So I gave June a seashell wreath the day before yesterday and yesterday she had it displayed on her door. Today I noticed the wreath had disappeared? Does anyone know why this happened? My island is in the northern hemisphere but I don't think its a seasonal issue.

unfortunately, that one only stays up in the summer months
i didn't know there was still a problem with wreaths, i was hoping nintendo would have sorted this out by now

Oh really? I'm surprised it appeared yesterday. Darn! I really liked the look of it, thanks for your help
