Villagers won't ping to leave?

I'm cycling some villagers out in my main. I've been doing the whole 2 days forward and back. (Or I just go forward 3 days and run around.) Lolly pinged; I said no. I did it again and no one has asked to leave? Walker's been giving me PWPs like crazy and Merengue keeps asking about her greeting. I've loaded up my second character and ran around and nothing still. The 2-3 day method hasn't been working for me lately and sometimes I have to go a fourth day to get a ping for moving. I wouldn't care as much if it wasn't my main town.

Am I doing something wrong?
What should I do to get a moving ping?
There's only 3 villagers in my main I want out and I don't want to lose one of the other 7.

i would try this one instead, villagers sometimes take 2 weeks to ping to move out

If saving and quitting isn't working or loading up another character for pings the I usually TT a day forward or a few hours ahead.

I've been moving a lot of villagers around my three towns recently and I always go 4 days ahead and then back to the day I started on. I always have someone wanting to talk about moving then.

I have the same issue as well. Only a couple of villagers I wanted swapped out.

noo marz do the rumors method!! if the villagers talk about rumors then no one's moving and then you can safely skip a few days there's a guide on here somewhere for it but i've never lost a villager by accident that way!
