Hiya TBT, I've noticed quite a bit of villagers that just don't seem to match their species. I made a list of villagers that I think should classify as something else! Here they are:

Tucker- Mammoth

Julian- Unicorn

Flora- Flamingo

Erik- Moose

Drago- Dragon

Phoebe- Phoenix

Papi- Okapi

Anabelle- Pangolin

Gladys- Crane

Savannah- Zebra

Pecan- Chipmunk

Kyle- African Wild Dog

Bianca- Snow Leopard

Can you think of anymore villagers that don't fit their species? List some more here! I think they're pretty neat.

I've noticed this too! Especially with the ostriches.. None of them are actually ostriches, haha
Gladys - Red-crowned crane
Cranston - Ibis
Phil - Pheasant
Queenie - Quail
Blanche - Crane

I wonder if they'll ever make an actual ostrich. That could be cool c:
There's also Leonardo who's a leopard and Tutu who's a polar bear. And Stitches, the stuffed animal teddy bear.

I know, right! I was going to put all the ostriches on the list but every single one of them is based off of something else and it would feel weird to put every single one cx It's weird how their species name is "ostriches", but there are no actual ostriches :O

Maybe they should change the name to tall birds? ...I guess that would sound funny XD
but I agree that ostrich isn't really a fitting title for any of them :/

I really like how creative they get with some of the villagers though! It would be boring if they all fit perfectly into their "category" and there were only actual tigers, ostriches, bears, etc.

Maybe they just don't feel like its necessary making an individual category for each of them. Zucker, merengue and marshal are all based on foods but they don't have their own "food animal" category. (Looking at the ostriches though, i think they should just make a big bird or large bird category instead, similar to the bears)

They could call the ostriches cranes; I mean, they may not all be cranes, but there are more of them than there are actual ostriches. XD

Coco - Gyroid
How can you forget this one

Oh and Stitches - Doll
Talk about inanimate object villagers :D

Oh I know! And I have no problem with that, I find it interesting. I just thought it would be fun to discuss the villagers that don't fit their species name. c:

Hans, the third BEST villager in the game is a yeti!

We need a villager based on Big Bird!

Tall Birds would sound kinda weird, though I still prefer it over "ostriches". It's not as weird if you think about how they have a "bear cub" category! It's kinda the same if you think about it, it's basically saying "small bears" xD

Ah; well in that case...
Chow, pinky, chester: pandas
Ankha: Egyptian goddess i believe
Tia: tea kettle/pot
Elivis: supposed to be the "king of rock"
