Villagers whose appearance you don't like but they grew on you anyways?

I'm curious if this has happened to anyone, as there is a villager who would be perfect for the theme of my town but they just look a little strange to me, and I'm wondering if I should try to get them and then just see if I warm up to them.

This happened to me with Hazel. I never hated her because of her appearance, but yeah -- she wasn't exactly the most attractive villager out there. But she's in my town now, and I love her.

That actually happened to me with Anchovy and Lucha. I didn't like them when I first saw them but once they were in my town they really grew on me. Lucha is actually now one of my all time favorite villagers. I think you should get the villager, you may end up liking them.

Ricky was one of my starters, and at first sight he didn't look very appealing to my eyes, but he really started to grow on me, and was one of my favorite starters. Same with Pietro.

I didn't like Tipper at first because she has those "Julian" eyes that always seem to be closed but she wound up being one of my favorites.

If appearance is ab big deal to you and you really don't feel like you'd warm up to them, then maybe it isn't really the best deal. but as long as you don't completely hate them based on appearance, I' sure there's a big chance you'll warm up to them - especially if you hang around with them a lot and stuff! I had that experience with Anicotti!

I love Tipper! Honesty I think she has one of the best appearances, so original and just adorable!!

At first glance, I was like whoa, what is up with your lips, man. But then, I realized that Barold was a kind soul and he became really cute to me. He definitely went from a zero to a dreamie for me. <3

Frank. Didn't like the look of him but because he was already in my town I had to put up with him and I grew to absolutely love him.

Del and Queenie, for sure!

I never hated either of them, but did not care for their appearance(s). I needed them in my American Horror Story town of AHS, though, because all of its villagers share names with characters from the series.

Queenie is probably Mayor Fiona's best friend now. And as soon as Del put on the Freak Show souvenir t-shirt, he instantly changed in my eyes...it's like it gave him a good personality. Haha!

Del, Queenie, and Nan (who I'd always liked) are my top three in AHS.

I had hazel, I've read a lot that people don't like her, and I never really knew why. She's a bit snappy. But I have Diana now and she's just as snappy lol. I never hater her at all. I guess it depends lol I only let her go cause she wasn't a dreamie and I was ready to start getting my dreamies into town.

I agree with this. While personal experience is the most important thing to finding favorite villagers, their appearance kinda gives you your very first impression on villagers. However, my "Most Beautiful"/"Most Handsome" villager list is NOT the same as my "Favorite Villager" list, so villager looks are a big deal, but so is personal experience.
