Villagers visiting your home?

Just curious, but what exactly do you do when villagers visit your house? I just end up staring at them for a long time, waiting for them to leave, hahahaha.

Likewise, what do you do when a villager asks you to go to their house? I never know when to leave.

I take them to every single room in my house. Let them stay for a few seconds in each room and when I reach the last room, they will automatically offer to leave.

When they show up unexpected I talk to them till they say they are leaving. If we have set a time to visit each other I talk to them a few times, then leave.

If they ask to visit beforehand I just take them to every room. When they visit unexpectedly I talk to them until I get the item they brought and then sit around waiting for them to leave.

Ah, so that's why! My villagers keep asking me to see another room but one of my rooms is an utter mess in which you can't walk around because of all the stuff I've put in it, so I never take them to that room.

Most of the time I talk to them a few times and then wait for them to tell me they're leaving. If not, then I ended up going outside. But I'll definitely try showing them each room now!

If they just come over while I'm in my house I sometimes just stand there and wait until they want to leave. Other times I will take them to other rooms. If I go to their house then I will just sit on the couch and play a game on my iPhone to kill time. Sometimes when I try to leave they keep me hostage I got held hostage in Luckys house for 5 minutes in my cycle town until he let me out.

When you visit their house, do they ever ask you to leave? Or are you expected to leave? Also, does it matter how long you stay, or can you basically just leave right away, lol.

I made the mistake of lying down in Lily's house once and she trapped me there for a good 5 minutes. I know better now.

I usually show them every room in my house, then they offer to leave a few seconds later. Hasn't really failed me yet.
